We go to her house.

It was relatively empty. A few essential furniture. Not many decorations or photos. I can see it's still under development.

One thing that catches my eye is the boxing bag that was hung in the corner of her living room. I instinctively look at her knuckles.

They were split and bruised.

I sigh. Didn't see that in the dark.

She went and fell face first onto the bed, making me laugh again.

"You can stop laughing, Tobias." Her muffled voice says, which only makes me laugh harder.

"See you later, then," I wave.

"Can you sleep here?" She asks.

"Here?" I raise an eyebrow.

"You can take the bed." Her voice is still muffled by the pillow.

"Why?"

"I don't know. You know what? I take it back. I want to be alone."

I almost laugh at how fast her mind changes.

"Good Night," She waves.

I wanted to ask if she really wants me to stay, but I didn't. I just handed her a glass of water and left some Aspirin by her bed side.

"Good Night," I say, and walk back to my house, closing the door behind me.

I remember very little from last night.

After the whole Mike thing, I remember going to a bar and coming back.

"Shit," I groan as bits of memories come back.

I can't believe I asked Tobias to stay the night.

I mean, I wouldn't mind if he did. Ugh, the drunk me talks nonsense.

I run outside and knock. Of course he didn't answer. He'd be at work. I should be at work.

I clutch my head and I find Aspirin on my bedside?

Wow, I'm hallucinating now. I grab it. Wait, it's true.

I silently thank Tobias again.

But again, I remember all the silly things I said.

"Oh, God." I groan.

To distract myself I call Christina.

"Hey, Christina,"

"Avyanna! Where are you?" She asked.

"Tell the boss I'll be there tomorrow. I'll work extra." I say, trying to be reasonable.

"Why, though?"

"I'm hungover, Christina," I sigh.

"On a weeknight? Bold," She laughs.

"Shut up," I laugh. "I...had to."

"And why's that?" She asks.

I sigh, "Listen...just put the word for me, alright?"

"Okay," She says. "Look, man's coming, gotta go. See you."

With that, she hung up.

I look down at the phone and smile.

Time to go back to bed.

As I pull the blankets over myself I see my knuckles. No wonder they were hurting.
