The next morning, I yawn as I wake up.

I turn to see Tobias's side empty. He's always up early.

"Tobias?" I call. No answer.

He must be showering. I sit up and recall the past days.

Fifteen minutes pass, he wouldn't come out. I press my ear to the door but there's no sound of water.

I knock. "Tobias?"

He's not in. I go in and shower and everything and head down to breakfast.

Christina waves at me. I scan the table but Tobias isn't there.

"Christina, see Tobias anywhere?" I ask.

"No, why?" She asks.

I excuse myself and call him. Should've done that before itself. The phone rang and rang but no one answers.

I have a strange feeling in my stomach.

Cara comes out behind me. "Hey, everything alright?"

I look at her and her eyes go wide. "What happened?"

"I can't find Tobias," I look at her, frantically. "He just...disappeared."

"Look, he would be somewhere..." Cara pats my back but couldn't hide the look in her eyes.

Soon, everyone was out. Forget breakfast, where the hell is this man?

We are halfway up a hill with half a foot of snow cover.

"Do you think he went back to the city or something?" Matthew asks, as we look at the city.

"Why would he though?" Zeke asks.

"True that," George nods. I am calling him again and again but he won't respond.

"What about up there?" Amar points to the top of the hill.

I groan. "Why would he go there? Why would he go anywhere?"

Christina links her arm with mine. "We'll find him, Avyanna. Don't worry."

It is almost funny that she would even suggest not worrying.

"He was sleeping right there!" I sigh.

"I know, I know." She nods.

"Okay, guys. Half of us to the top, half to the bottom of the hill." Amar orders.

I go with half the others down the hill. The rest of us go up.

We search the bottom of the hill, all the benches and the camps, but no clue of him.

I look at Christina, my heart sinking.

Christina rubs my back, "Hey-"

We get cut off by a call. It's from Zeke.

"Hello?"

"He's here, come up."

His tone is very solemn. I nod and tell the others. With a weight lifted off my shoulders, we go up the hill again. This time, to the peak.

Zeke looks over the shoulder, a look in his eyes I can't pinpoint. I join him.

Tobias sits on a bench, looking at the city.

"I'll go talk-" I start but Zeke catches my wrist.

"Let her handle this, huh?" He gestures to Christina.

She nods but I don't understand.

"Okay?" I shoot him a confused look.

Zeke throws his arm over my shoulder. "So, how's-"
