A very long police procedure, lot of interrogations and bunches of interviews later, we're out. My leg hurts like anything. It's probably a sprain. I take the support of the rail as I walk.

The Blues are in, so is Vanya and the killer couple, literally.

We get into a taxi. It is all silent. We didn't speak. Hell, we didn't even look at each other.

Once home, I sit down, groaning. Tobias looks at me. "Listen, I--"

I hold my hand up, glaring at him. "Don't."

"Avyanna just liste--"

I give him a glare, holding the couch to walk to the bedroom. A shot of pain. I stumble a bit but stand up.

"What happened to your leg?" He asks.

I don't answer, walking towards the bedroom. Limping towards, more like.

I hear no sound behind me but the next moment I'm lifted off my feet, into his arms.

"If you're in pain, you could've just told me,"

"I can walk," I glare at him.

"Yeah, you sure can," He laughs.

"Tobias, I said put me down."

He puts me down on the bed and sits down. "Look, it's just--"

"You don't have to explain. Give me some time I'll come around," I look away.

He makes me look at him and kisses my cheek.

With that, he stands up. "Do you want me to call your friend to fix that leg?"

"Yeah, I'll call him. It's okay."

He nods, leaving. I call Bruce.

Poor guy comes over to help me.

"Sorry to call you like this but... Something is wrong with my leg,"

I roll my jeans up.

"Does it hurt when you stretch?" He asks.

"Yeah,"

"It's just a sprain. Don't worry," He smiles but it fades. "Also...I'm sorry,"

"Why?" I ask.

"We should have been better friends."

I smile at him. "You guys were plenty so never think about it like that,"

He grins at me. A knock is heard and Tobias peeps in. "Do you guys want tea?"

Bruce looks at me. "Well?"

"I'm fine, thanks." I look away. I need to fix myself.

Tobias looks at me a little longer, but nods and closes the door.

What did he think before coming like that? He wouldn't understand why I didn't want him there. He will be affected by something I got myself into now.

"What's up with you two?" He asks but then shakes his head. "Sorry, it's not my place to ask,"

"No, it's fine. Just a small misunderstanding," I look away.

He pats my shoulder. "Don't worry,"

"Enough about me. How's everything?"

"All fine. Sally's doing some emergency work. She said she'll visit you tomorrow," He says.

"I'm not dying, Bruce. I'll meet her at work. It's fine," I laugh.
