And soon, the Christmas morning was here.
Tobias pecks my lips. "Merry Christmas, Avyanna."
"Merry Christmas, Tobias," I grin.
We look outside our hotel window as we drink our coffee. The snow falls continuously outside.
He wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me close.
"Christmas in Iceland," I sigh.
"We're some lucky people," He says.
"Right?" I smile.
He puts the coffee aside and wraps his arms around me. "We have the whole day for ourselves—"
"No, we don't," I grin.
"Let's assume," He grins back.
"We have to greet the others,"
"Later,"
"What do you suggest we do? Sit and eat candy canes?" I grin.
"Spoilsport. Come on, then,"
We greet everyone a Merry Christmas.
As we reach the last room, Tobias bumps into someone.
"Oops, sorry," He bumps back into me.
"Sorry, sir." It was one of the employees of the hotel.
"Merry Christmas!" I grin.
"Merry Christmas to you too!" He grins.
We stand in an awkward silence.
"Um, the hotel is arranging a Christmas Dinner at 7 pm. All your friends can join us. It's down in the Party Hall," He says.
"We'll be there. Thank you," Tobias nods.
Amar pulls all of us in for a Christmas breakfast.
And we even got a plastic tree to celebrate. The tree was smaller than all the gifts under it but hey, no complaints.
We all bought gifts for all the others, so that's a lot of gifts.
Christina gave me a book, Tobias, a pair of gloves, Shauna, a nice belt and so on.
I call dad and Mike to wish them.
And after that, we take a walk outside.
Christmas Carols filled the streets and there were decorations everywhere.
People hurriedly bought last minute gifts while some bought cakes or what not.
I pull my scarf closer as we all walk.
"Mike should have come, huh?" Christina smiles, beside me.
"I know, right? Maybe we could pull you two under the mistletoe," I laugh.
"Avyanna!" She shoves me, playfully.
I pick up snow and hit her shoulder, laughing.
"I was kidding," I laugh.
She rolls her eyes.
"But, for real, though? Do you like him?" I ask.
She blushes red. "It doesn't matter."
"Christina, you can tell me," I link my arm with hers.
"To be honest, I don't really know," She sighs. "I don't know if I like him or I find him attractive,"
"It's okay. You don't need to have all figured out," I pat her back.
"How did you know you like Tobias?" She asks.
