Next day,
I finally checked my email after that whole thing.
My emails were responses to the interviews.
I got two out of three.
So today is my first day at the Central Hospital.
I was asked to report at the same place I took my interview in.
"So, you're the new one,"
It was the man who interviewed me.
"Avyanna Gill," I shake his hand.
"Daemus Zee. I will be your head of the department," He says.
"Yes, Mr Zee," I nod.
We walk outside and along the long corridors of the hospital.
"So, how are you under pressure?" He asks.
He asked me that in the interview.
"Pretty fine, I suppose," I shrug.
"'I suppose' doesn't work," He frowns.

The first week at the hospital ended with much boredom as emergencies were less. Which is a good thing but it makes the job boring.
The Ambulance Crew, as we are called, have two nurses/doctors in and a driver, obviously.
The driver's name is Sally, a jolly soul. She's a new recruit too. The other nurse is a guy named Bryce. He's been around for four years now and quieter than Sally.
Anyway, after the first week, Mike texted me.
"When am I meeting Matthew? :)"
I smile at his silly emoticons and reply.
"Today, after work, if you're free."
The reply came soon.
"Sure. Looking forward to it. Give me a call. :D"
I grin to myself as he texts and sends his location.
I go back home. Tobias isn't back, so I leave a note. Normally I wouldn't, but as I said, now I have someone to inform to.
"Mike wants to meet dad. Be back by night. —A"
I find Mike at his house.
"Come in," He grins. "I'm almost done,"
He hands me some water and runs inside to fix whatever.
And soon, he's back.
We get into the car, driving away to dad's.
An hour of driving, talking, remembering and laughing later we are finally here.
The sun set a little while ago, but the sky is still changing.
I didn't call dad. I hope he's home.

Safe to say, dad was extremely pleased to see Mike. He was all kinds of excited.
We talked about things for ages.
Then he looked at us both.
"Are you sure, you guys aren't..."
"Aren't what?" Mike asked.
"Dating?" Dad completes.
I fall silent as I stare at him and then at Mike. Mike looks back at me with the same puzzled expression.
