*Flashback*
3rd person PO.V
The rythmic sound of the pouring rain creates a relaxed ambiance in Jimmy's room, as they lay in perfect silence in his single bed, half naked under the covers. Jimmy is laying on his side, his stillness suggesting that he's driffting to sleep. Adam, however, who is lying behing him, is awake, caressing Jimmy's upright arm and dreading going back home...
After Adam kissed his mother goodbye on pretext that he was going to school he took the wrong turn to Jimmy's house and they spent the whole day on this very same bed. Now it's almost hard to believe that it's time to go home so he can be back before his father gets home.
"You were right." Jimmy's sleepy voice distracts Adam from his thoughts.
"Right about what?" Jimmy turns around to face him before giving a lazy smile.
"Second time is better than the first." Adam only answers that with a small laugh and a brief kiss to the lips. "I love you." Jimmy mutters lazily.
Adam's phone rings and their attention turns to the phone that has been ringing for the millionth time this hour. Adam sighs an exasperated sigh. "I think that's my mom again. I gotta go." Adam gets up to dress after planting a peck on Jimmy's lips once again.
"So when will I see you again?" Jimmy sits up and whines childishly.
"At school duh" Jimmy rolls his eyes and Adam laughs.
"You know we don't count school." Jimmy countered while he watched Adam dress himself up.
"Why not?"
"You treat me like shit at school." Jimmy bluntly says but with a playful glint in his eyes which Adam definitely noticed because he finds that habit of Jimmy's quite adorable. However, Adam finds the need to respond to that seriously.
"J you know that if I start treating you like my most favourite person people might get... suspicious." A fully clothed Adam goes to sit beside Jimmy and kisses him of his forehead.
"Of course." Jimmy gives a half-assed smile to mask his inner conflict. Just because he knows Adam's situation doesn't mean it does not bother him that he can't hold Adam's hand in the street, hug him in public or even talk to him at school.
It bothers him that Adam goes with some girl to parties, that he's introduced her to his parents and that he can't even post their selfies on social media.
"You'll see me again sooner than later...I promise." Adam takes a letter on the desk. One he's going to give his teacher for not being at school.
He always writes it when he's with Jimmy to make sure there are no familiarities in their letters and of course...so that Jimmy can sign it. He checks the letter one more time and marvels how the forged signature looks exactly like his father's.
"You're really good at this."
"You're welcome!" Jimmy decides to push away his negative thoughts as he beams. Adam reaches for the door.
"You might wanna use the window because I think my dad's back from work."
"Rightt." Jimmy watches Adam as he exits through the window and goes down the tree that leads to his bedroom window, the forbidden tree as he likes to call it. Adam looks up and waves goodbye as soon as he lands on the ground. He doesn't wait for Jimmy to wave back as he rushes for his bike.
