"Where's Adam? I want to introduce him to someone." Adam's father asked excitedly. Adam joining the family business was by far the best news he's heard ever since his son came into existence. Not even Adam getting his degree, winning his first championship or giving him a grandson topped this.

However Stephanie did not share the same excitement. She sighed in annoyance.

"Probably ran off with his precious boyfriend because I don't see them both anywhere." Stephanie ridiculed in between occasional polite greetings to associates passing by.

"Boyfriend?...Are you telling me that boy is here?" Mr Howard's excitement  had long deflated. Realisation hitting him hard. "I thought you said you took care of that problem."

"I tried but your son is as stubborn as you Frank." Frank grabbed a glass of champagne as the waiter walked past them and gulped it down. Adam was finally following in his footsteps and their relationship has never been better. He was not going to let some downtown boy ruin all of that.

"Then my son leaves me no choice. It's time I took care of this once and for all."

"What's on your mind?"

Jimmy rubbed his forearms as the air became cooler and cooler the more he went up. He finally made to the rooftop. The anticipation that built up from the moment Adam texted him to meet him at the rooftop dissipated like his shallow breath did in the cool air.

He had spotted what he was looking for.

Adam was right across. Leaning on the edge, staring down at the traffic below. With the distant relaxing music lingering in the air, there was something peaceful about that moment. Jimmy walked closer to him quietly.

"What's so interesting down there?" Jimmy interrupted the peace as he set down his camera and his bag.

"Hey.." Adam pulled him closer for a kiss. It was sweet and somehow between playful and passionate. Jimmy teased him by slightly pulling away, only for Adam to pull him back in, literally smashing his body against his. Jimmy's hands crept around Adam's waist under his blazer and suddenly he didn't feel the cold.

"Does that qualify as making it up to you?"

"Oh no you're gonna have to work harder than that." Adam chuckled and went in for another one. Slower and more intimate than the first. "You do realise your dad might walk in on us."

"Then he'd figure out why I was so eager to come here."

"You knew I'd be here?"

"Of course. I recommended you." Adam stroked Jimmy's hair and tucked a strand behind his ear. "You know I'm technically your boss right now."

"Mmm how's that for role play Mr Boss.." Adam chuckled. "I'm sure your dad is so proud of you."

"You have no idea. It's like that's all we ever talk about. If it's not the wedding then it's business. Can't say I'm complaining though... It's nice to see him so happy."

"Yeah..." Jimmy trailed off hesitantly. His gaze fell to look at the traffic below.

The atmosphere had become chilly again.

"So you're still marrying her?" Jimmy knew that he probably sounded clingy right now. But what Adam said triggered a broken record of Steven's question.
