1 year later

Jimmy delighted at the weather as the crisp summer breeze caressed his skin. He inhaled the beach-scented air as he watched couples take long strolls by the shore and happy children build castles with the sand.

Colour seemed more vivid in his over-sensitive eye. The calm ocean was strikingly turquoise, the couples' smiles extra bright, and the artificial grass massaging the soles of his feet looked deliciously green. He was savouring every little detail of the view. In conclusion, he was happy.

"Thinking about me?" A voice snatched him out of his bubblegum world and quite honestly he was not mad. His eye seemed to be in the mood for admiring beautiful things today. The man leaning on the door frame didn't need further explanation, Jimmy's hardly compressed smile confirmed his obvious suspicions.

Jimmy pulled himself together and displayed the front page of the newspaper he was reading before he got sucked into utopia.

"Your company. Another car exploded?" He drew a long breath, the features of his face changing colour before answering.

"Unfortunately." Jimmy moved to stand in front of him, gently fixing his already perfect tie.

"Aren't you needed back at work?"

"I'm sure they can handle it besides I'm on a business trip, not on holiday." He retreated from the patio into the room to continue with preparing for his meeting. Jimmy watched him, his words had reminded him that this was indeed a business trip. It was strange that he invited Jimmy to come with to a 'work' trip without him even asking.

He silently chuckled at the fact that he totally forgot this was not really a holiday and he probably shouldn't even be here, but hey who would say no to scenic beauty ready to be captured and sex hotter than the Sahara desert in summer?

"Doesn't feel like you're not on holiday. You're always here." Jimmy's words caused him to look at Jimmy teasingly through the mirror. The man in view smiled for the fact that in all the time that they've been together he's never noticed his man's love for mirrors until recently. This guy's confidence, and maybe arrogance, was on another level.

"It's not my fault you're such a distraction." He countered with a smirk and Jimmy tried his best to bite his smile, resisting the flattery though failing dismally.

"I don't want your dad to find out you're bunking work to entertain your distracting man, whom he already hates might I add." Jimmy purposely stressed the word. His companion seemed to be throwing out compliments more often these days and Jimmy wasn't complaining.

"He doesn't hate you." He countered earning a stern look accompanied by crossed arms from Jimmy. "Okay you win. We're going back soon, but only after you let me treat you to dinner one more time."

"O-kayy..."

"I made a reservation. So put on something nice. But for now I have a meeting." He wore his blazer before planting a kiss on Jimmy's cheek.

"Good luck."

Later that night

"What?" Jimmy finally looked up from the menu and asked as his intensive stare proved to be too much for his wandering mind to ignore.

"Did I ever tell you how handsome you are." Jimmy almost chocked on his drink as he died of laughter.

"Cringe."

"I thought you wanted me to be more attentive and stop focusing on work so much."

"Yes, not say corny movie lines. It's not you."

"Okay okay fine then. I'll stop." He pouted acting hurt and Jimmy couldn't stop laughing. "I mean I was trying to be... sweet?" Jimmy flinched.

"Who died and made you the king of cringe."

"No one has to die Jimmy. I'm already king of everything." Jimmy pulled his giggly self together and looked up from his drink. The man he knew was back.

"I swear this island's not big enough for your head." Jimmy chuckled as the waiter set their plates on the table.

"I hope your heart's big enough." Jimmy's eyes landed on his ever so daring gaze. He had finally figured out what's going on. He circled his still full glass with his index finger.

"What do you want?" Jimmy looked at him knowingly. His demeanour, however, changed along with the mood. Making it less flirtatious and light that Jimmy also adjusted to the new atmosphere.

"I want you to marry me." He took out what looked like a ring in a small box and placed it in front of Jimmy. Jimmy clutched his chest in utter but blissful shock. He hadn't expected it. Now more than ever he was sure he loved the man before him and couldn't picture a future with another. "Will you?"

"Kevin I--"
