i woke up to the sound of bailey crying, i got up and picked her out of her crib and put her down
she walked towards the door and opened it, i sighed and followed her
i picked her up and took her downstairs, i put her down and she saw stephen
he smiled and picked her up, "morning bri" he smiled at me
i smiled back and walked into the kitchen, i grabbed the orange juice from the fridge and poured myself a cup
sophia walked in and looked at me, "can i talk to you?"
i nodded and we walked to the backyard, it's so much nicer now that the snow's gone
we sat down on the chairs facing eachother, "ok so" she cleared her throat
"i get why you didn't tell me about sleeping with my brother bc i'd get mad since i had warned you about him, and i know how he is" she paused and sighed
"but i mean, if you like him i'm not gonna control you bc i just want you to be happy and if he makes you happy then i'm not gonna stop you, i just don't want you to get hurt"
i smiled and pulled her in for a hug, "thank you but it's just still a lot to think about" i told her
"why's that?" she asked and we sat back in the chairs
"i guess his past with his ex, valeria, cause everyone always says he had a big love for her and it just- i don't know" i said
she snickered, "don't worry about her, everyone in the house loves you way more then they ever did for valeria"
i laughed, "stephen said you never liked her"
"it's not that i didn't like her, i hated her" i shook my head at the exaggeration in her tone
"it's rude of me to say but i'm glad she's dead, she didn't do anyone any good around here" she said
"bitch would always eat all my fucking yogurts and grapefruits" she said in annoyance
my brows furrowed, "weren't her and joey like in love with each other?"
she sat up and i looked at her, "you can say that or you can say that joey was using her"
"he kidnapped her tho" i reminded her, "he did but when she fell for him he knew she wouldn't leave and would do anything for him"
"i'm not sure if he had feelings for her or not, he was just always good to her which is why everyone assumes he was madly in love but it's confusing" she paused
"he's never been one to really show his feelings especially after our mother died" she looked at me and i can tell it wasn't easy for her to say that
i nodded and she got up, i followed her back inside and she sat down in the living room
i walked into the kitchen and took out eggs, sausage, bacon, and pancake mix
