Lucious

I sit here on the couch in the living room next to Lisa with her legs resting on my lap, listening to her read. My hand rests down on the black sweatpants she's wearing, not able to feel those pleasurable tingles through the fabric. I lightly tap the tips of my fingers against the fabric of her pants wanting to feel those pleasurable tingles.

I look into her eyes watching how they move over the words as she reads. Her eyes are just a common brown that I've seen many others with, but when I look at her eyes that brown becomes the most beautiful color I've ever seen.

"You're not listening, you're daydreaming again." She looks over at me giving me a glare.

"I'm listening this time." I give her a smile as she glares at me.

"You're going to read from now on because you can't pay attention without drifting off into your own world." She tells me.

"I'm really listening," I tell her again letting out a low chuckle.

"You better be listening, because I'm not starting the chapter over again." She gives me one last glare before starting to read again.

I continue to watch her, listening to the sound of her soft voice trying not to slip off into a daydream of me kissing her lips. I stare at her just looking at how beautiful she is.

I love her, I say to myself in my head.

I lick my lips wondering what those words sound like out loud.

"Lucious, the vampire prince is here, west border." Uncle Jax's mind links me.

I frown wondering what he's doing here. I was supposed to meet back with him in a few more days.

"I'll be back, I need to go take care of something." I get up for the couch and leave the house.

Once I start to approach the west broader, going deep into the snowy forest, I see pack warriors standing there in wolf form growling and snapping sharp teeth.

I make my way through the thick trees and pack warriors, making my way up to the front. Once I get to the front, I see Uncle Jax and Tilda's mate slowly stalking back and forth watching the vampire prince as he stands there a few yards away leaning up again a thick tree looking unbothered by the growling pack warriors.

I frown looking over at him dressed in another fancy suit, wondering why he's here. We never said anything about him coming here, especially unannounced and through our land instead of using the roads to drive here. This visit from him isn't sitting well with me.

"What are you doing here?" I ask, not liking him showing up here this way.

I watch as stand up straight from leaning up against the tree. He frowns down at his shoes, shaking the snow off.

"I was starting to like you half breed but turns out you haven't been being completely honest with me. And one thing I hate more than you disgusting dogs is someone lying to me." He looks at the pack warriors as they growl out, snapping at him, waiting to attack.

I look at him not knowing what he's going on about. "I haven't lied to you." I frown, watching him.

"Oh, but you have." He looks around the snowy forest before his eyes land on me again. "You came to me with a plan to kill the Lycan king and everyone he holds dear, but then I come to find out that you're mated to one of the animals that we are supposed to kill. Maybe I'm just crazy, but am I the only one the sees the problem at hand." He glares over at me.

A deep growl vibrant my chest hearing him speak about Lisa. My beast pushes forward ready to be let out.

I feel the power pouring from Tilda's mate as he moves up to the left of me growling and snapping sharp teeth at the vampire prince as Uncle Jax move to my right.

"Then another plan entered my mind, one that no longer involves you, but it does involve your mate, so I'll be taking her." He moves quickly and before I have a chance to react, he shoves his fist through my chest, yanking his bloody hand back out.

Everyone starts to attack as I drop down to my hands and knees.

Blood started to spill from my mouth as I try to breathe. I watch the snow beneath me quickly turn red from the blood pouring from the hole in my chest. Unable to breathe, I look over the fighting as my body quickly grown weak from the blood loss.

Seeing the vampire prince knocking the pack warriors around I try to get up, but fall down into the cold bloody snow, unable to hold my weak body up.
