Treat You Better
•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•

The train lurched forward and the familiar excitement started to well up inside her again. Y/N was very anxious but this didn't dampen her spirit for this school year. She tried to focus on other things on the train but she knew better once her vision swam.

Stepping onto the platform, she was walking alongside the Hogwarts Express where students bustled in and out, waving and saying their goodbyes. She could see a dark figure up ahead, pulling her close like a magnet. Just as she drew closer, Voldemort's face became more vivid and terrifying with every step.

And just like that, it stopped. She let out a long shaky breath just as Harry woke up, readjusting his neck. One look at her brother and she knew what he saw, though he didn't let on. This also earned an exchange of worried looks from Hermione and Ron, but they didn't dare say a word since Harry had grown quite short-tempered lately.

Y/N was deep in thought when the Hogwarts Express slid to a stop. They've arrived yet again at Hogwarts for their 5th consecutive year. This place had been a second home to her, aside from the Burrow really. She longed to see the familiar friendly faces again. But she was very anxious to see one particular face again. Wether it was a dream or reality, she never knew. All she did know was that she had anticipated the day till she'd see his face again.

And that was today.

Ever since waking up from a severe hang-over the day after the Yule Ball. She vowed to never drink Firewhiskey again. A lot has changed as time passed on. Y/N grew less and less fond of Ron, thinking it was best to stay a healthy distance away from him. When he took notice of this, that's where he started inching closer to Y/N, which was an odd thing she didn't put a lot of thought into. Even that time when they've first been to Grimmauld's Place, the sight of him eliciting no feeling from her other than missing an old friend.

Ron tried to be closer to her which she still hasn't grown accustomed to since he barely gave her a second glance before. Y/N reached for her trunk, struggling as it was out of her reach. Ron saw his chance and helped her lower the luggage. "Thanks Ronald." Her lips curled into a small smile, surprising Ron who thought she was avoiding him for some reason.

"Blimey Y/N, you've finally spoken up! I thought you lost your tongue back at King's Cross there." She rolled her eyes, sharing a laugh with the boy whom she used to like.

Ron was still droning on and on about his summer vacation when she heard a familiar voice. "Hurry up Crabbe and Goyle! We haven't got all day!" She looked over Ron's shoulder, catching a glimpse of the blond headed boy she was anxious to see.

"I think we should get going." Y/N put an end to Ron's story, looping her arm around Hermione's and headed for the exit.

Stepping onto the platform once again, she let the welcoming air invade her senses. Nothing else felt better than being home.

After the disaster of the TriWizard Tournament, and the unfortunate death of a dear friend. The horrible nightmares and black outs haven't stopped. It chose no exact time or place which made it unbearable.

Almost always together.

Harry's been having it worse really, she couldn't imagine what he's been going through let alone go through it herself. He had also recently recieved a letter from the Ministry of Magic, saying that he was being expelled from Hogwarts due to the use of magic in the presence of a muggle. Harry explained that he only did it because of the Dementors attacking them which made her shudder. It brought back distant memories of their encounter with one in their third year.
