Chapter 2

One Sam left I felt uneasy and Jack walks in the room. "Me and my brother had a teeny weeny fight" I chuckle nervously

"About what hun?" Jack said putting his hand on my shoulder

"Stupid checkups" I complain

"I know because you know him and how he is" Jack says in a comforting tone and pits his hand down.

"He's making us go tommorow. Like the old days when we were kids" I address

Jack sighed. "We do have a choice he can't do this to us we can make our own choices"

"Yea tell that to him" I chuckle and walk out of the room into the kitchen and get out some pasta and started cooking dinner.
Spaghetti and meatballs.

Lincoln waddles in and says "what's for dinner daddy"
"One of your favorites spaghetti and meatballs" I say in a childish voice

"YAY" Lincoln says happily

Jack walks in and says "he doesn't have to force us to go we are adults just forget it"

"He will go on and on about it" I say

Lincoln sits at the table

I finished cooking dinner and we ate dinner.

When we were finished eating dinner I had Lincoln take his bath. Then he went to bed after I read his bedtime stories.
I still can't believe I'm a parent my parents will be so proud of me.

Me and Jack watched some greys anatomy then we headed upstairs took our showers and brushed our teeth and headed off to bed.

The next day I woke up and saw Jack sitting in bed.

"What's wrong?" I say

"Not to be funny or anything I've been hiding this toothache from both of you" He says

My phone began to ring and yep it was Sam.
I answered M= me S= Sam

M= Hello

S= hello my dear brother so what time your coming in for your checkup

M= we don't have an appointment wait till we schedule one

S= I made you two one for today

M= you did what? You know we are old enough to make our own choices

S= But you two refuse to go to the office that's why

M= fine we'll be there when we get there.

I hung the phone up angrily and slammed it on the bedside table where Jack looked at me in worry.
I bet sam was celebrating that we were coming.

"We are going I can never outsmart my fuckin' brother" I complain

Good thing Lincoln was still asleep so he would not hear that.

I got out of bed and got dressed and got ready for the day. Then Jack stumbled downstairs in his work uniform.
"I have to go to work directly after the appointment" he says

"We should go soon we have to take Lincoln with us" I say

We all got in the car and drove off to the office.

We got to the office and checked ourselves in. Lincoln sat on my lap and I played with Lincoln's hair.

Sure I was nervous but I can't be for my own son. We adopted him when he was a baby and we gave him a good life so far. I don't want little Lincoln to know I was still scared of the dentist.

Then Sam came out he was flashing his shiny teeth at me. Which made Lincoln smile.
"Hey Lincoln how are you today?" Sam asked lincoln
"Good" Lincoln chuckles

"Ima give your daddies a checkup" Sam said
Which made me roll my eyes.
"I'll take a look at you first Chip, Jack can stay and watch Lincoln" Sam said

I handed Lincoln to Jack and slowly got up. I was a little shorter than Sam.
"So you ready Chip" sam said raising an eyebrow at me. "Sure I suppose I don't have a choice anyways" I said Sam led me through to the exam room. I sat down in the exam chair. Twiddling my thumbs. Sam places a bib on me.
"So about yesterday sorry I got mad at you" I chuckle
"Ah It's fine" he chuckles back

He leaned back the chair and put on gloves and a mask.
"Open" He said
I opened and he slipped the explorer and mirror in my mouth

"I'm so glad you had braces" he says

"You forced them on me but I have straight teeth now so shut up" I mocked while play slapping him

He chuckled. "Welp you have perfect teeth I'm proud of you" He said when he took out the tools out of my mouth.
"Lastly I'm gonna clean your teeth what kind of toothpaste?" He asks
"Just bubblegum you know the one I always liked" I say

He polishes my teeth and takes the xrays and I had perfect teeth. He took off his gloves and put the mask under his chin.
Next was Jack

Jack POV

Chip came out and Lincoln ran to him "daddy" he says happily
"You ready Jack" Sam said

"Can we just do this another day? I'm late for work" I complain

"Sorry now being your step brother I have to take a peek" Sam says putting his hands on his hips
I slowly got up and crossed my arms angrily.
"Fine let's get it over with" I mumble and follow him to the exam room.

We get to the room, Sam puts the bib on me. Then he pulls his mask up and gloves
Then he reclined the exam chair.
"Open please" He says calmly

"No" i say
I start to get up from the chair. He pushes me back. "Your not leaving without an examination" he says

"Open" He says clearly starting to get pissed
I opened he put the tools in my mouth. He tapped each till he came to one of my teeth.
"Ok Jack looks like you have a cavity" he says

"Oh god" I mumble

"Yea well I have no time to fix it today I have to get it tomorrow" he says taking his gloves and mask off. He puts the chair back to its normal state.
I got up from the chair. And waved goodbye and left to go back to the waiting room then me, Chip, and Lincoln left without saying a word

Chip POV

"What did he say" I asked jack as he was driving

"I got a flipping cavity and he seemed annoyed" Jack chuckled
"That's my brother" I chuckle back

Jack dropped me and Lincoln off at home and he went to work. I was off today
