Chapter 20- Checkups

I went home that day.. Then at dinner time I mentioned the whole 6 month checkups to both Jack and Lincoln

"So um Jack, Lincoln your both due for a checkup" I say

Jack looks up at me with wide eyes. "Seriously?" He complains

"I'm dead serious" I say

"Checkups aren't that bad" Lincoln mentions

"That's true Lincoln" I say but then turn my attention towards Jack.

"Hun, you know I take perfectly good care of my teeth and you know it" Jack says smiling at me

"I know you do but you know me and Sam wanting everyone in the family 6 month checkups" I say

"Yea I know since you both work at the same place in the same field" jack says picking at his food

I finish my food bring the fish to the sink and rinse it off. " Yea So um we both want you and Lincoln to get checkups in the next few days"

"Why? Can't we just make our own appointments" jack complains

Lincoln sighs. I know he doesn't want to go to the checkup.

"Your going tomorrow and that's final okay?" I then blurt out all frustrated and start walking upstairs.
Grab some clothes and head to the shower and take a nice hot shower.

JACK POV

"Geez" I say as I clean up me and Lincoln's dishes for dinner.

"Can we have dessert?" Lincoln begs

"No you know Daddy C won't want that" I say, starting to wash all the dishes in the sink

"Okay well I'm going to get ready for bed" Lincoln says now heading upstairs

CHIP POV

I hear Lincoln's footsteps come up the stairs I was now laying in bed reading a book the door was open a crack.

"Don't forget to brush" I say pretty loud

"Okay" Lincoln says as I hear the bathroom door closes.

A few minutes later Jack walks in the room.
"Hey hun" I say looking up from my book

He ignored me. I know he was quite upset because I told him he was getting a checkup tomorrow if he likes it or not.

*The next day*

I woke up the next day around 6:45 am. Jack was still awake and I nudge him to start waking him up.

"What?" He mumbled sleepily

"You have to get up" I say

"Why?" He mumbles

"Checkup day" I say as I climb out of bed walk over to the dresser and grab my scrubs then headed over to the bathroom. I decided to jump in the shower.

JACK POV

I roll out of bed clearly pissed I wasn't ready for my own husband or my brother in law check my teeth. Today is gonna be not really fun for me.

I walk over to my dresser and grab my uniform as I have to go to work after this.. and drop Lincoln off at school.

I get changed in the room as my darling husband hogs the bathroom all the time. I then waited on the bed so I can get in the bathroom after Chip was done

I heard the bathroom door open then my husband appears in the room, in his scrubs.

"Good morning Doctor" I joke

"Good morning, now go brush and floss" he said pointing to the bathroom

*Fast forward one hour later at the office*

Me and Lincoln waited in the waiting room. Soon enough Sam came through the doorway

"Lincoln" He says

Lincoln gets up and follows sam. Through the corridor to the exam room.

LINCOLN POV

Me and Sam got to the exam room. Then Sam put my bib on and he got gloves and his mask on. Then reclined me back then positioned the light

"Open" he says

I opened and he checked my teeth, for me luckily no pain, even my x-rays were good.

But... my teeth are a bit crooked but I don't wanna worry about that right now.

Sam cleaned my teeth then sent me on my way. I waited in the waiting room for Daddy J to get done.

JACK POV

I was in the exam chair and my own husband was checking my teeth which was very awkward

"Okay jack any pain or discomfort" chip asks

I shake my head no. Then my xrays were taken. They are clean thankfully. Then my teeth were clean. Then I was finally out of the chair and sent on my way where I took Lincoln to school then I took myself to work.

CHIP POV

I cleaned up the exam room then met Sam in his office..

"I gotta discuss a few things with you chip" Sam  says
"Well What is it?" I question now sitting in a chair

"Lincoln needs braces" he says
