Me, Jack, and Lincoln are so proud of Sam and Shelby. Even though Sam ain't the real father but he's a good father figure.
I woke up to my alarm signalizing it's time for me to get up. "Shut up" I mumble in the pillow managing to hit the snooze button.
10 min later it beeps again and I finally get out of bed. Letting my Lovely husband sleep in as today was his scheduled day off.
I kiss him on his forehead before grabbing my scrubs and heading to the bathroom. I change into my scrubs, brush and floss my teeth and wash my face
I then headed downstairs and made a bowl of oatmeal with a cup of coffee.
10 min later I put my empty bowl and coffee cup in the sink and rinse them.
I then pack my lunch for the day which consists of a Ham and cheese sandwich, carrot and celery sticks with ranch, and a bottle of water into my lunch bag.
I grab my lunch and keys then headed off to the mud room, where I put my shoes on. Then went into the garage to where my car is, locking the door behind me and proceeding to my car.
I drive off to work, I bet Sam will be exhausted as he is a parent of a baby girl.
I get to the office and was surprised to see Sam here. He looked very exhausted.
I approach him "Hey Sam"
"hey Chip how are you today?" Sam asks
"I am doing good, you look tired I am sure parenting can be stressful" I say
"yes I know i look very tired little Kelly cries so much" Sam says in a tired voice
"wow well i have a patient to get to see you soon" I say as i walk away i grabbed as file and went to the waiting room waiting by the doorway "Sarah Martha"
A lady stands up and walks towards me, i recognized her from somewhere, wait she was my homeroom teacher when i was in public school.
"Hello Mrs. Martha please follow me through to the exam room" I say and lead her to an exam room and motion for her to sit down in the dentist chair.
She sits in the dental chair and I place a bib on her. "Is that you? Chip Winston? Former student"
"Well.. yes it is. It's nice to see you Mrs. Martha how's your family?" I ask and start reclining the chair and apply glove And a mask then positions the light
"They are doing good so you've decided to go the same path as Sam didn't you?" Mrs. Martha asks
"Yes I did now can you please open so I can examine" I say
"Yes of course" she says as she opens her mouth allowing me to put my explorer and mirror in her mouth and examine her mouth.
"You take really good care of your teeth" I complimented
"Thank you" she tried to say but my tools were still in her mouth.
"So are you experience any pain or discomfort in any of your teeth" I mention and start tapping each tooth.
"Nope" she says
"Very good, now I'm just gonna clean and take xrays then your done" I say as I take my tools out of her mouth
"That's fine" she says
I grab the toothbrush and put a dab of toothpaste on it and instruct her to open her mouth again.
I take the electric toothbrush and gently polish each tooth, on each and every side of the tooth. Then gave her a good rinse then she spit in the sink. "Now to floss" I say
i grabbed a piece of floss and gave her teeth a nice flossing. I then put the chair back to it's normal state. I hand her a small cup of green liquid. "what is this" she questions
"its fluoride its basically mouthwash you have to swish it around for 30 seconds then spit in the sink" I explain
she takes the mouthwash and swishes it around her mouth for 30 seconds then spits it in the sink.
"we are all done do you want to schedule ahead for 6 months or have us send the reminders" I say as i start cleaning the exam room
"the reminders please" She says while getting up and out of the chair. I lead her back to the waiting room where the receptionist fixes the bill then she eventually leaves the office after I wave goodbye.
I usually have 2 or 3 regular checkups and 1 or 2 other procedures. Usually, around the same amount Sam does he helps me once in awhile if i have a wisdom tooth removal procedure.
That is how my day goes, i clock out say goodbye to everyone and leave the office and head home. I realize it is almost time for Jack and Lincoln's 6 month checkup.
Jack isn't gonna get to the office so easily....
