Diva's POV
We had decided to bring the girls along with us to ma's dinner which turned out alright.
Ma had a lot of growing to do but that was good. She didn't even have a lick of alcohol at that table.
Her boyfriend seemed to really be interested richer and that's all that I worried about.
We were there for three hours, talking and having a blast. Ma really liked Alia and Heaven. The house was fixed up.
They had gotten a new paint job, a pale green which brought out the furniture colors.
I didn't know that name could change for one man.
Just like me.
Later on, sitting on the couch with everyone watching the news and Alia and Heaven playing the wrong version of Checkers on the floor, ma flicked on the news.
It brought up live footage of Donte and his two other men being arrested outside of a four-star hotel. "What a shame." Ma said.
I smirked and nodded my head, holding tightly to Xavier's hand.
"Yeah, what a shame."
Everything was going to be fine. Just fine.
