"Okay, so like I told Hailey, we have to have a bottle of beer. We ask a question, if the answer is yes, you have to drink. There really is no loser in this game." Laura smiled.

"Cool. Let me go get another beer, you guys want another one?" Sheri asked as she got up from the arm rest of the couch and glanced between the both of us.

"Yeah, please." I said as I looked down at my empty bottle and back at her.

"Yeah, thanks." Laura smiled as she placed her empty bottle on the table beside us.

A few moments later she came back with opened bottles of beers, "So, who starts?" She asked as she handed us our bottles.

Laura and I both smiled appreciatively.

"You can." I said as I moved over a bit so Sheri could sit next to us.

She raised an eyebrow, "Have you ever travelled outside of California?" Sheri asked.

Both Laura and Sheri took a drink.

I smiled down at my lap, it's kind of embarrassing never traveling outside your state.

"You've never left California?" Laura asked in complete shock.

"No, never." I laughed awkwardly, "I've wanted to though."

"I've been to Australia. You guys got to go there." Sheri smiled, proud that she has left the country.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't jealous, I was happy for her. I just wish that I had the money to do stuff like her.

"I've heard it's pretty cool. Try China though, it's just- wow." Laura gleamed.

"I wish I could go to either of the places." I commented, feeling left out in their travel conversations.

"Aren't you like 23?" Laura asked.

"21." I corrected, "Anyway, my turn. Have you ever had a place to yourself? Whether it be a week or a month?" I asked.

I looked between Sheri and Laura and I smiled as I took a drink.

"When did you have your place to yourself?" I heard Sheri ask.

"Right now actually. My parents went on a business trip and they aren't back yet. My brother also once in a while leaves for a week." I smiled.

"That's pretty cool." Laura smiled, "The closest thing I've had to having the house to myself is dorming with three other roommates." She sighed and rolled her eyes, "Not as fun as you'd think."

"I can imagine." I smiled sympathetically.

"Roommates are the worst." Sheri added, sounding disgusted.

We were quiet for a moment, listening to the environment around us. The pop music playing, the people laughing and talking with the occasional yelling, and of course the smell of beer and alcohol.

"Have you ever gotten drunk?"  Laura asked.

The three of us drank.

She turned to me and smirked, "I dare you to finish that beer right now."

"Oh, so we're playing truth or dare now?" I teased as I let out a laugh.
