A few weeks later:

"Yeah, babe. I will." I laughed as I rolled my eyes.

"Great. I'll see you then, Nick." Hailey laughed through the phone.

"I'll see you soon." I smiled as we hung up.

"How's the relationship going?" Mitchell asked.

"Pretty good, what about you?" I asked.

"Could be better," He laughed weakly, "Mindi has become extremely jealous. She does not trust me one bit. She has to be around me every second of the damn day."

"That's excessive. What are you thinking of doing?" I asked as I set the play station controller down.

He sighed as he dragged his hand across his face, "I don't know. I've talked with her about it and she gets upset. She starts arguing and I'm not sure."

I scratched the back of my neck, "Well, if it has been an on going issue, then I think you should try to have a serious talk with her. She has to listen to you, just like you listen to her."

He nodded slowly, "Yeah, I guess you're right. It's just a bit upsetting. The other day I brought it up and she thought I was cheating and wanted to cover it up."

I scrunched up my nose, "Well, damn." I laughed nervously.

"That's my Mindi for you," he rolled his eyes and sighed, "Anyway when is Hailey coming?"

"She is on her way, why? What were you thinking?" I looked over to him and ended the game we were playing. There was no way we were going to continue at this point.

"Diner?"

"Sounds good. It's been a while." I said as I got up to stretch my back.

"Bro, you go there every day." He laughed.

"You judge me as if you don't come with me every day." I shot back.

He smirked but didn't say anything.

After a few moments he looked up at me, "Hey, and what's with that other girl?"

I furrowed my eyebrows, "Which one?"

"The taller blonde one. The one that admitted she loved you in the middle of a fight." He let out a chuckle.

"Oh," I smiled awkwardly, "I'm not sure. I haven't spoken to her. Frankly, I don't think I talk about her as much. I know Hailey doesn't like to hear anything about her."

He nodded once, "Does she know about the fight?"

"No. I think she just assumes that I stopped talking to Sheri," I looked up and saw Hailey coming up the steps of the building, "Hailey is here."

"You see her?" Mitchell asked at the same time there was a knock at the door.

"I see her." I teased.

Mitchell smiled and I walked up to the door to open it, "Hey, Hal." I smiled as I pecked her lips.

She smiled, "Hey, Nick."

"Mitchell is in the living room." I said, making sure that she was not caught off guard by seeing him.

"He is? I haven't seen him in a while, I'll go see him." She glanced over to me and continued into the living room.
