"Hal." Jack ripped me out of my thoughts.

"What?" I asked frustratedly.

"Please turn off your ringer. Sheri won't stop calling and I'm tired of your ringtone." He teased but there was a hint of seriousness.

I groaned, "Does she not get the hint?"

"Apparently not." He replied as he rolled his eyes.

The phone rang again.

"I've had it." I mumbled as I bit my lip.

I accepted the call, "What?" I replied flatly as I got up out of the couch and walked into my room.

"Hey girl! You finally answered!" She replied happily.

My stomach twisted at her hypocrisy.

"Well you have been calling non-stop." I spat.

She giggled, "Oh, you're still on your hangover?"

I pierced my lips to avoid saying anything too rude to her.

"No, I'm trying to get over the fact that you spiked my drink."

The line went dead.

"Hal, girl, what are you talking about?" She asked.

Rage burned within me. I was hurt that she was denying it. I ran my hands across my hair in an attempt to stay patient.

"You gave me an opened beer, Sheri. You added something to my drink." My voice broke.

"Are you seriously accusing me of giving you a drug?" She sounded upset, "Why the hell would I do that!?" She shouted.

I didn't know.

I bit the inside of my cheek, "Did you open the bottles before handing them to Laura and I?"

"You are my best friend." She sounded hurt.

"You didn't answer my question." My voice broke.

"No, Hal. If you think that I did something like that, I don't think we should be friends." She mumbled irritatedly.

"Sheri, even if you didn't spike my drink, you left me alone- almost unconscious." I tried to reason with her.

She sighed, "I know. I don't know what I was thinking, it was my drunk ass being stupid."

I let out a shaky breath, at least she was sort of apologizing.

"So are you mad that you think I spiked your drink, or that I left you?" She asked, her tone was serious.

"I'm not mad, I'm hurt." I spoke.

I heard her sigh, "So then are you hurt that you think I spiked your drink, or that I left you alone at the party?"

I didn't know whether to believe if she had spiked my drink, "I'm upset you left me."

"Hal, you drank a lot. We had just started the party, I wanted to be with Carl for a bit. You're the one who left me at the party, and I'm not mad at you."
