"What am I supposed to wear?" I groaned in frustration."I don't know, maybe something party-like?" I heard Sheri over the phone.
"Not helping." I rolled my eyes and ran my hands through my hair.
"Why are you stressing?" She laughed.
"Because I don't want to under dress, and I don't want to over dress." I said explaining it to her for what felt like the thousandth time.
"Come on, Hailey. You're fine." She laughed, "Go in sweatpants or in a cocktail dress, you'll still look great."
My cheeks burned, I doubt that, "Thank you, but compared to you, I'm a bag of trash." I half joked.
I heard her laugh through the phone making me laugh.
"Well, I have to go. I'll pick you up in like an hour." She replied.
"Okay, thanks. Text me when you're outside." I mumbled as I pulled out another dress from my closet.
I ended the call and looked around my room.
"I didn't realize a tornado had hit your room." I heard Jackson state as he stood at the doorway of my room.
I sighed ignoring his comment, "What should I wear?"
"Nothing too revealing." He said, I couldn't tell if he was joking or not.
He walked over to the clothes I had on the bed and picked up a light blue knee high dress, "This one looks good."
"You think?" I asked as I bit my lip, "I don't want to look different." I sighed. I would be embarrassed if I was the only one in a dress.
"What's wrong with different?" He asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"I- I don't know? Stop asking questions like that." I mumbled as I sighed.
"Do you like the dress?" He asked.
"Well, yeah." I admitted.
"Then, wear it." He said simply.
I bit my lip, letting a small smile appear on my face, "Okay, thank you."
He smiled and rolled his eyes, "Do you need a ride? Or is Sheri coming for you?" He asked.
"Sheri is actually coming for me, thank you." I smiled gratefully.
"Please take care of yourself. Don't drink too much, okay?" He asked, I could see the sincerity in his eyes.
"Yeah, I promise." I smiled back.
He smiled and he walked out of my room.
I looked at the light blue dress and smiled to myself and I put the dress on.
I looked at myself in the reflection, I slightly frowned at the way it sat on my body, but I really did like the dress itself.
I sighed as I walked to my vanity and put on my make-up and brushed my hair out.
As soon as I set the brush down on the vanity, Sheri texted me telling me she was outside.
