Several years had gone by since Majin Buu terrorized the world. Earth had known peace throughout this time. However in the far reaches of the universe, something was stirring. Beerus the Destroyer woke up from his long nap. He had a dream about something that he couldn't quite put his finger on. The thought didn't leave his mind as he summoned his attendant Whis.
"I had the strangest dream." Beerus yawned. "It was about a warrior who could finally match me in combat. What was it called?"
"I hardly think any mortal could reach your strength, my lord." Whis said as Beerus scratched his head.
"No I'm sure of it. Call the oracle fish." Beerus groaned.
Suddenly a small fish appeared. "You summoned me my lord?"
Beerus told the fish about his dream. After a few moments the fish told him about the Super Saiyan God. "Yes that's it!" Beerus exclaimed. "Where can I find this Super Saiyan God?"
Whis looked into his staff. "Well since you had Frieza destroy Planet Vegeta, there might not be any saiyans left." Beerus' ears dropped and Whis continued to look. "I have found two saiyans residing on earth. Prince Vegeta and another one named Goku. Although his saiyan name is Kakarot he responds to both. Oh my it seems he was the one who defeated Frieza."
"This Goku really defeated Frieza?!" Beerus exclaimed. "Perhaps he knows about this Super Saiyan God."
"Currently he is on the North Kai's planet." Whis said. "It also appears that Goku and the prince have settled down on earth. Both of them have children and there is one half breed who seems to have the same strength as Goku and Prince Vegeta."
"A half breed?" Beerus asked.
"Yes it seems that she and the prince are very close." Whis said showing images of Mae and Vegeta fighting.
"If she isn't this Super Saiyan God then I don't really care." Beerus said. "Let's go pay this Goku a visit."
On Earth, Mae and Vegeta walked into the gravity room to train. "Shouldn't we be going to Bulma's party?" Mae asked.
"You can go if you want." Vegeta shrugged. "That is if you would rather party than train."
"I would rather train." Mae smirked. "I'm just saying, Bulma might not be pleased that her husband is missing her birthday."
"Just shut up," Vegeta glared as he brought his hands up.
"Heh," Mae grinned as she ran forward to attack.
Meanwhile, Bulma and the others were on a cruise ship to celebrate her birthday. "What do you mean Mae and Vegeta aren't coming?!" Bulma snapped.
"Well Vegeta just glared at me and Mae said she has to train." Gohan laughed nervously.
"What about Goku?" Bulma sighed.
"He's training with King Kai." Gohan said.
"These saiyans I swear!" Bulma yelled.
"Hey Bulma!" 18 called out holding a bingo ticket. "Is it true that the second place prize is a castle?"
"Yep! The grand prize is a secret but we have a car and a plane lined up too." Bulma winked at them.
"Krillin! With you, me, and Marron that gives us three chances to win the castle!" 18 exclaimed to her husband.
"Oh no! I completely forgot about that!" Chi-Chi groaned. "Mae and Goku just had to miss out. Gohan we have to try extra hard to win!"
