story #4: Where have all the grown ups gone?

A/n: this is a reaction to the disappearance of the adults, it will not be a complete thing, I don't know if this character makes it.

I blink, what just happened, one minute my reading teacher was talking about synonyms and antonyms and the next she was gone.

No 'poof'.

No flash of light.

No explosion.

"Abigail!", my best friend, Megan, shouted.

I turn towards her, my face pale," Where's Miss Bowlie?"

She shook her head," They're all gone, the eldest ones here are the ninth graders. All the adults, their gone."

I knew, deep in my heart, that the world as I knew it was over.
