Song : Sheher Ki Ladki from Khaandaani Shafakhana

_______________

"ENDGAME IS HERE!!!!!!" Aarav yelled.

"LETS AVENGE THE FALLEN!!!!!" Sameer yelled.

"Chill boys. We are watching it today. " Naina said.

"Wait for 2 more hours." I said coolly.

"That's surprising, coming from you." Naina said.

"The house will go down if I begin fangirling about Captain America and debate on the fact as to whether to ship Thor with Jane Foster or Carol Danvers." I said.

"True dat." Naina shrugged.

So, we did watch it finally. After a year long of wait. We finally watched Endgame.
And cried. And cried and cried. I have never cried at a movie, but the occurrences in the movie made me cry my heart out. Naina gave me company in that department.

"I can't believe that the original Avengers are never returning together!" Naina said crying.

"The last scene of Cap and Peggy was so friggin emotional. They finally had their first dance." I said crying.

Stan Lee killed everyone. Died himself. But died with SWAG.

"Aloo, we need to start shopping." Aarav said.

"For what? And why?"

"Don't you remember? In a weeks time we need to leave for New York! For the American exchange."

"Oh. That! Yeah we'll do it." I said putting my Earphones back on to resume GOT's latest episode.

"Choti! Get ready. We leave now." My mother said.

"Why now?" I whined.

Nobody let's me watch GOT in peace.

Mom gave me the don't - mess - with - me look.

"Okay. Let me call Naina."

"No need. Naina and Sameer are already downstairs."

This American exchange was going to be the death of me. No offense, I really liked my partner and all but seriously, I'm missing GOT because of this.

The American exchange program was basically a partnership between a school in India and one in the States where, fourteen students of each school were selected to represent their school. Each student had a particular partner with whom they would be staying for a fortnight while visiting either of the countries. Rosewood High School had been partnered with John Quincy Adams High School in New York City. Since our school was divided into two sections , seven students of each section would be visiting NYC i.e. seven girls and seven boys. The students from NYC had already visited our school during their winter break in January. Now, with our summer break beginning in a week, it was time for us to go to NYC.

Half an hour drive and Sameer irritating me by continuously taking out my earphones from my ears later, we finally reached.

"MAX? Seriously, Ma?" Aarav whined.

"Aarav, you know we follow the three C's." I said.

"Classy, Cheap & Cool." We said in unison.

"MAX is just one of those places." Ma said.

"I'll go with the girls and Maahi will go with the boys." Juhi aunty said.

The boys tagged along with my mother to the opposite end of the store which being the male section had cool stuff like Archie & Jughead themed t-shirts and all the houses of GOT according to their colour t-shirts .

"First of all, I know that the two of you like twinning with each other rather than with your own siblings, but I would request you not to buy the same clothes. Maximum one T-shirt can be the same for both of you but not more." Juhi aunty said.

"Kay." Naina replied as I nodded my head in affirmative.

I shuffled through the rack of collar less t-shirts to find something suitable.
Yay. Jughead eating a burger! I am so buying this. My baby will be close to my heart all the time then.

Forty five minutes and three trips to the trial room later, I finally decided on five t-shirts and two Kurtis .
As usual Naina was still stuck selecting her clothes.

"Naina! Hurry up." I knocked at the trial room door.

"I don't know which one to select." She whined.

"Who helps you every time? I do, right?" I said.

She finally came out if the trial room with what looked like 30 clothes pilednup in her hand.

"I will select 5 t-shirts and two Kurtis out of all these, just like I did for myself." I said.

After a lot of debating, we finally narrowed it down to the number required.

"Are the boys done yet?" Naina asked.

"Right here." Sameer said as they approached us.

"Wait! I forgot, we need to take Indian wear for CeCe and Lee." I said.

"Say what now?" Aarav said.

"They really wanted Kurtis." Naina said.

"Said, they found them comfortable." I added.

"Mom's already bought readymade sarees for them, so we are gonna buy one set if anarkali for each and get over with it."

"Don't tell me you didn't take cotton kurtas for Ash." Sameer told my brother.

"Fuck. I forgot." Aarav said running away towards the men's section.

Cecelia Adams and Ashley Gomez were Naina and my partners respectively. They lile being called CeCe and Lee rather than their real names. Aarav's partner was Asher Gomez and Sameer's was Scott Parker. Yes, you guessed it right, Aarav and my partners were also twins. I still don't know whether it was a coincidence or the teachers had purposely put us together. I think it's the second one.

Anyhoo, finally we were out of the shop and I heaved a sigh if relief when Maa entered McDonald's. Finally, food. I love food. It is the best thing invented ever. Especially when it comes to chicken burgers.

"Six Chicken McGrills, three medium french fries and six cokes, please." Juhi aunty told the guy who was taking out orders.

"We need to buy dairy milk chocolates, spices and costume jewellery." Naina said.

"Yeah." I replied munching my burger.

"Aloo, mayo on your left cheek." Aarav said.

I rubbed a part of my cheek to get the mayo off.

"Wait, I'll do it for you." Sameer said.

His fingers brushed my cheek and the mayo was off my cheek and into a paper napkin.

Such soft hands. Who has that soft hands?

Sammy does.
