Song : Khwaab Dekhe (Sexy Lady) from Race

_______________________

"Karan, wait a second. Karuna and Rahul are still in school. And it's school. Not junior college that they are allowed to get out of school during school hours. We need to be realistic. Not like other shows. For Rahul, put a 'Pehla Nasha' scene as a dream sequence, so that it helps the public understands the school wala pehla pyaar crap. And you need a song for Karuna and Ishita to dance on during the farewell, use that Race song, Katrina Kaif one. No! Not Zara Zara, the other one!"

"Khwaab Dekhe!" Naina said.

"Yeah, Khwaab Dekhe." I told Karan.

Yeah, you've heard of him. He's my editor. I mentioned him earlier!

"Now, get back to work, because I have to take care of both, the bride and the groom."

"Khwaab Dekhe jhuthe muthe, battiyan banaye kaisi, sajna anari baiman!" Naina and Kriti started singing.

"Kritz, stop. And Neenu, you're getting bloody married in an hour! Trust me, you're only the second bride I have seen who was so chill about getting married." I said.

"That's cause I have known my to be husband and in laws all my life. Literally." Naina said.

"Wait a second, who was the first?" Kriti said looking at herself in the mirror for the 100th time.

"You." Naina and I said together.

"No I wasn't! Okay, yeah, maybe I was." She replied.

"I remember how your expression changed when Mom told you that you needed to spend the night with the two of us because of Kalratri." I said.

"Fuck. I had totally forgotten about that!" Naina cried.

"I am sure my darling brother has also forgotten about that." I said arranging the jewellery on her head. "Which reminds me, I need to check in him too or else Ma will kill me."

"Naina, no one is going to take their eyes off the bride, especially Aarav. Kriti, you look amazing. No need to check so many times. Now listen, Neenu, I won't be able to come back here once I go to Aarav. I need to stay with him at all times. Rishi, Sameer, Yuvraj bhai and Dhruv will be hear to take you downstairs soon." I began with my pep talk.

"Don't worry, we're not going to let them drop you. They didn't drop me the last time. I mean, Aarav, Sam, Yuv and Dhruv." Kriti said.

"I will be with Aarav and you throughout, so just tell me about anything you need. I know you're hungry. Hold your hunger for a few hours. I have your favourite meal kept aside for you. And yeah, all the best. You're officially in charge of my brother." I said.

"Great pep talk. Now go, your brother needs you. I am sure he is not ready yet.

"By the way, you look gorgeous." Kriti said.

"I know." I replied.

I walked downstairs to where I was sure the boys were getting ready.

Ugh! Who am I kidding? Of course, they're not ready!

"Brooooooo? Can I come in? Are you guys covered?" I asked from outside the room.

I walked into the room with my eyes closed in prior anticipation. As soon as I opened my eyes, I saw Sam's face in front of me.
I stared at him. He looked friggin hot in the dhoti and panjabi.

"Like what you see, I presume? Because I totally do." He said with a smirk on his face.

"Yeah, I totally want you right here right now." I said moving closer to him.

Yes, I had found a new way to tackle Sam.
I could hear his gulp. Literally.

"Tui topor ta thik kore porte parchish na?"
I yelled at Aarav.

"It keeps falling off! What am I supposed to do?" He complained.

"It won't fall if you place it straight. And you know, Naina is much easier to handle." I said placing the topor properly.

The topor is basically a white coloured hat like thing the bride and groom wear in Bengali Hindu marriages. It's shaped like a tiara for the bride and an extremely weirdly shaped for the groom.

"Thank god I don't have to hear you snore tonight. But please keep it low, tonight. While you guys consumate your marriage, if you know what I mean." Sam said.

"Number 1, call it sex. Number 2, I see your vocabulary had increased, since you're using words like 'consumate'. Number 3, nothing happens tonight. It's baashor raat tonight. And it's kalratri tomorrow. So, nothing happens before the night of the reception." I said.

"Great! I need to stay awake the entire night!" Sam said.

"And tomorrow morning too." I said.

"Why?" Aarav asked.

"We're going sight seeing with the other guys." I said.

"What about Naina and I?" Aarav gave me a puppy dog face.

"Don't worry, I'll ask Ma." I said pulling his cheeks.

"And if she says no, I am gonna sneak you out." Sam said.

"I can't believe my bro's getting married." I said as Aarav and I looked at each other through the mirror. It was a typical soap opera type scene.

"Karan called you, by the way. He couldn't reach you, so he called me. I couldn't find you, so I told him I'll give you the message." Aarav said.

"Who's Karan?" Sam looked up at me.

"My boyfriend. And yes, I just got off the phone with him." I replied.

Ha!

"You have a boyfriend?' Sam asked.

"What if I do? C'mon bro, its time to get you downstairs." I said as I walked out if the room with Aarav with me.

The rituals proceeded with the groom's participation first until, Naina came in on the shoulders of Sam, Rishi, Dhruv and Yuvraj bhai and took seven rounds around Aarav.

As soon as Sam was free, he came and stood beside me, asking me a single question every five minutes.

And the question was, obviously, 'Is Karan seriously your boyfriend?'

I chose to ignore his question making an excuse to talk to some relative or doing something for Naina and Aarav everyone Sam tried talking to me.

The wedding rituals had begun pretty late because of some weird astrology stuff our families believed in. Most of the guests had left by midnight. It was only close friends and family present by the time the wedding was over. I noticed Krishi asleep in a half awake Rishi's arms. It was almost two in the morning and the saree I was wearing was killing me. I needed my pyjamas ASAP.

"You're now officially, my sister." I told Naina, holding her hand and escorting Aarav and her to the room. "And now is, pizza time."

"Thank God!" Aarav said.

"I thought I would have to eat the heavy food that was catered at two in the morning." Naina said.

"Nope. Pizza with extra cheese for my brother and his wife." I said.

"Me too." Sam said as he ran up to us.

Just like old times. Totally.
