Song: Your eyes tell by BTS

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I said with a fake smile on my face.

"Ally, I just want to talk."

"First of all, it's Alisha. And you should've thought about that before. It will be better if you leave because I can't guarantee what'll happen if Aarav sees you here."

"Aarav will be the least of his problems." Naina said passing by.

"I just need five minutes."

"Neenu, I'll handle this." I said. "Please handle Aarav and..."

I nodded my head so that Naina knew what I meant.

"Look, Karthik, I don't know what you want to talk about but as I have been saying for the past year..."

"Alisha... I still love you."

No. He did not just tell that to me again. No. Hell no.

"No Karthik. I am not going through this again. You're married, Karthik. And you cheated on both of us last year. You were engaged to her while you dated me. Frankly, I'm surprised that she decided to marry you after that entire fiasco."

"Alisha..."

"No Karthik. I have to work. And please leave before Aarav or anyone else sees you." I said getting up to walk away.

He grabbed my hand.

"Karthik, let go of my hand."

"Please Alisha..."

"Karthik, I don't want to create a scene in here. So, let go of my hand."

"She told you to let go." I heard Sam's voice behind me.

"And who are you to tell me what I should do or not?" Karthik stood up.

And suddenly within seconds, Sam pulled me and stood in between Karthik and I.

"You want to know who I am?" Sam said moving towards him.

"I am her fiànce And the next time I see you in a 2 mile radius from here, I swear to God, I am going to beat the shit out of you." Sam said.

"F...iance?" Karthik stuttered.

"Yes, fiànce."

"Wow. It took you just a few months to find someone else!"

"Mind your tongue, you ass." Sam was about to hit

"Sam. Stop. I can handle this." I said, trying to process what he had just told Karthik.

"Oh. So it took you what? A few months? To find someone else? Wow. You --"

"Don't you dare finish that sentence." Sam said.

"Karthik, please leave before this becomes worse than it already is." I said.

"YOU-" I heard Aarav.

"Aarav. Stop. He's going." I said.

"Do I need to escort you?" Sam gritted his teeth.

"Karthik. I said, leave." I said.

"And remember what I said about seeing you near her." Sam said.

"Shut up." I told Sam. "Just shut up."

This guy had to test my patience.

I walked up to the small raised platform we had in the cafe for karaoke nights and live performances.

"Guys, we're really sorry for whatever just happened. Please don't leave before you get complimentary drinks as an apology from our side."

"I don't care if you need her." Sam told Naina.

Sam grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the cafe and towards our building.

"Sam-"

He stared at me. His eyes red in anger. Okay, this is not good.

"Shut up and come with me. I don't want to make a scene in public."

"You don't get --"

"I told you to SHUT THE FUCK UP." He said.

He dragged me to my room as we entered the apartment and locked the door of the room.

"What is wrong with you?" I said rubbing my aching wrist.

"What is wrong with me? What is wrong with you? Who the fuck was that?" He yelled.

"Stop yelling. And who he was, is none of your business." I said.

"It is my bloody business." He said grabbing my hand and pulling me towards him.

"Sam, let me go."

"I won't." He said his dark brown eyes staring at mine. I saw the anger in his eyes. "Who was he?"

"You're not that stupid to not understand who he was." I said averting my eyes.

"And why was here?" He asked me.

"That's none of your fucking business." I said pulling myself out of his grasp.

"IT IS MY DAMN BUSINESS!" He said moving towards me as I stepped back.
"Everything you do is my business."

"No it isn't." I said.

There was an unusual softness in my voice. My heart was beating faster as he moved towards me. I felt a pit in my stomach. I wasn't going to fall for this. I moved away towards the other side of the room before he could trap me between himself and the wall.

"You left. Not once but twice. I was tired of waiting, you get it?" I said, half yelling. "I get it. You had to focus on your career. But that didn't mean you had to cut all ties with me. You talked to Aarav and Naina but refused to talk to me."

"Listen-"

"No. I talk. I waited for you for three years. And I really don't know why I did that. After you left on the day of Kriti and Rishi's wedding, I made a pact with myself that I wouldn't wait for you anymore. You were just a childhood crush and nothing else. And I moved on. And then again, you come back five years laters and all those feelings come back and I don't know what to do because knowing you you will leave again. And I can't go through that anymore because.."

"Because what?" He asked wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling  me towards himself.

"I think you already know what I was about to say." I said trying to free myself off his grasp.

"I've always been a slow learner. Since I was a kid, you know." He said, smiling and tightening his grasp around my waist.

"Sam, jaane dey. I need to help Aaru with dinner."

"Nah. They'll manage. I'm not letting you go, literally." He said. "Well, not until I do this."

His face inched towards mine and our lips met. My hands wrapped around his neck as our lips moved in sync.

"I love you, Aloo. And I'm never letting you go, not anymore." He said, his forehead touching mine.

"I love you too, Sammy." I replied.
