"Why does Scott have Home Ec?" I asked Lee.
"This was the only class he thought he would get an easy 'A' in." She answered.
"And who's the partner?"
"Naomi Wilson. Head cheerleader. His girlfriend."
"Quarterback and cheerleader. And I thought there were no clichés ."
"Since Mandy went down with chicken pox and Ashley doesn't have a partner I am allowing her to team up with her foreign exchange partner." The teacher said.
"Thank you Mr.Jones." Ashley said.
"All you have to do is bake a cake and decorate it. You have two hours." He said.
"You know the basics right?" I asked.
"I know we put eggs, flour, and all."
"Cool. Get me a mixing bowl."
Bad news. I heard a beep.
55? It's bad.I shuffled through my bag for a packet of Oreos.
Ugh!I looked at Sam.
Within a second he was standing beside me holding a packet of Oreos.
"Thank you."
"How low?"
"55."
"Eat up. Fast."
"Everything all right?" Ashley asked.
"I'll tell you later." I said.
Yeah, even you guys. Now I need to concentrate on baking the cake.
"The pod is okay. Don't need to worry." I whispered onto Sam's ear.
"Preheat the oven." I instructed Ashley.
I took the bowl and put an entire packet of butter in it. Following it were the three eggs and an entire cup of powdered sugar.
"Take one spoon of butter and put it in the cake tins. Then spread the butter all over the cake tin. Then just take a bit of Coco powder and spread it over the tin. Tap out the excess. "
While Lee was busy doing that, I took the flour, baking powder and coco powder on a plate and mixed them together in a separate plate.
"Done." Lee said as she put the two cake tins in the oven.
"Now, we need to put a little of the flour mixture into the egg mixture while whisking it."
As she put the flour mixture in small parts, I used the electrical whisk to whisk the mixture.
Ten minutes later we were finally done with the whisking.
"Consistency is good." I said picking up the mixture and dropping it back into the bowl.
"It's ready to bake?" Lee asked.
I took a spoonful of batter and was going to put it in my mouth when a hand snatched it away.
I looked to my right and saw Sam smirking while he held an empty spoon in hand.
"Ugh! Just one time. I wanted to eat it one time." I said.
"You know you cannot Aloo."
"Yeah yeah. Now tell me, how is it?"
"Good."
