" I hopped of the plane at LAX, with my dream and a cardigan!" Naina sang.
"Welcome to the land of fame excess! Am I gonna fit in?" I continued.
"Jumped in a cab here I ----"
We were cut off by my stupid brother.
"This isn't LAX, it's NYC."
"So I put my hands up, they're playing my song, the butterflies fly away! Nodding my head like yeah, moving my hips like yeah." I sang without caring about what he said.
"So I put my hands---" Aaarav and Sameer put their hands on Naina and my mouth respectively.
"Behave,Aloo. " Sameer said.
I stuck my tongue out at him.
I ran up to Ashley and hugged her.
"I missed you Lee." I said.
"I missed you too, Ally." She said.
"Forgotten me already?" The girl with flaming red hair said.
"Oh Cecelia , you're breaking my heart!" I said giving her a bear hug.
"Ally! How's life!" Scott said giving me a high five.
"Hey Scott. Life's great!" I replied.
"Please tell me we are going to Times Square and Central Park." I said.
"Yes. But not so soon. You're staying for two weeks and just in time for senior prom." CeCe said.
"CeCe! You ruined the surprise!" Lee said.
"What? They would've known eventually, considering we've bought dresses and all for them too." CeCe said.
"Oh my god!"
"We love you guys."
"The cab's here. Ally, Aarav, Lee. Get in. Quick." Ash said.
"Bye. See you tonight." I bid adieu to Naina and CeCe.
"Where are we going?" Aarav asked.
"Our apartment. Like our parent's apartment." Lee said.
"Oh God, Lee! Where is your apartment?" I asked.
"It's in Waverley Place, Greenwich Village." Ash said.
"Like Wizards of Waverley Place, Waverley Place?" I asked getting hyper.
"Yes." Lee said.
"Close your ears." Aarav said.
"No. I am calm." I said.
"Precautions need to be taken." He said covering his ears.
I gave an inaudible squeal, which was audible on the inside.
"Done?" Aarav asked.
"Yeah." I said.
About fifteen minutes later we reached their apartment which was so beautiful on the inside, I can't imagine what it it would be like on the inside.
It had a light red colour with yellow in some parts like above windows and all.
"I really like this voice box system of yours." Aarav said.
"You can test it when guests come." Lee said.
"302." I said as I saw the number written on the door.
"Remember it." Ash said.
As we entered the house, Ash and Lee were enveloped in fur by two cute little huskies.
"Browny , Bruno, meet Alisha and Aarav."
The two Siberian Huskies sniffed our feet.
I bent down to scratch one's ears. At first it protested but then finally let me scratch it.
"She's Browny." Lee said.
The puppy snuggled inti my hand as I stroked her beautiful fur.
"They're so adorable." I said.
"I wish Maa would let us have a dog." Aarav said.
"They like you." Ash said.
"Aren't we likeable?" We said in unison.
"OMG. You do that too." They said in unison.
"I think that's common for all pairs if twins." I said.
"Can they talk yet?" Aarav asked.
"They're just two months old. It takes them atleast 6 to 7 months to learn." Ash said.
"You are here already!" A woman came through the door.
"Hey mom!"
"Hey mom."
"You should've called me." She said.
"Mom. Alisha & Aarav. Alisha & Aarav, Mom." Lee said.
"Hi Mrs. Gomez." We said in unison.
"Oh my god. They do it too. And here I thought you were the weird ones." She said which brought laughter to all our faces.
"I think they're very normal, Mrs Gomez." I said.
"Oh! Stop with the formalities. Call me Anna." She said.
"Her real name is Annalisa. She prefers to be called Anna." Ash explained.
"Why don't you take them to your rooms while I set up the table." Anna said.
Ashley and Asher had rooms side by side with a black A on Lee's door and a red A on Ash's door.
Ashley's room was just what I had expected. It was cosy and warm. A king size bed with colourful blankets were on it. A table lamp on each side. A wardrobe stood at the left side of the room. Beside that was a bay window with a nice view of the busy streets of NYC. On the right side was a study table. A guitar shaped cupboard filled with various accessories and story books was on the wall near it.
"Like it?" She asked.
"This is awesome. It's really cool that you have separate rooms." I said.
"Yes and No. Come. I'll show you." She said.
She opened the washroom door. I saw another door on the other side of the washroom.
She opened it to reveal Asher's room."Hi boys."
"I told you not to break in like that." Ash said.
"As if I care." Lee said.
"Even mine is like that." Aarav said.
"These sisters are all so irritating."
"Hello, we're standing right here." I said.
"Supper is served." Anna said.
"Oh my god, you didn't have to do this." I said looking at the foood filled with table.
Sorry, I meant table filled with food.
Bole toh, tongue of slip ho gaya.
"Pasta AND Risotto! I already love your mom." Aarav said.
"This is nothing. She makes amazing Mexican food."
We were finally in NYC, my dream city. And we didn't even miss home.
