"1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8.." I called out teaching the dance steps to the kids in the family.
"Very good!" I said as the song finished.
"Chocolates on the table for all of you!"
The small group of 10 kids ran up to the table to eat chocolate.
"What's left now? All the parents are done, kids done. Rishi and Kriti have managed. and mine done. Tera kab karegi?" Naina asked handing me a cup of coffee.
"I'll do it! Chill!" I said sitting down at the table on the balcony.
"Accha? And which song?"
"Ummmm.....Dilliwali Girlfriend or Desi Girl?"
"In case you don't remember, Kritz and Rishi are doing Desi Girl and you need a guy to do Dilliwali Girlfriend."
"What's your solo?" I asked.
"Don't have one. On second thought I should."
"Dola Re Dola? Together." I asked.
"Ooh. Great idea. But solos?"
"Let that be a surprise for now. Kaveri and I have stormed for some ideas." I said referring to my show's creative director.
"That reminds me, did you ask Suhana about the decoration?"
"Naina, my entire creative team from my show are taking charge of the wedding decoration. It will give them an idea for the wedding on the show." I said.
"What show?"
"Crap. This was supposed to be a surprise!"
"Daddy and Baby are taking a nap, so Mommy's got free time. What are you guys talking about?" Kriti said.
"Tell meeeeee." Naina squealed.
"Tell you what?" Kriti asked.
"Some show." Naina said.
"Okay, I'll tell you. So, because of Baatein Kuch Ankahi Si aka Rosewood's Princess' response by the youth, the owner of the production house, Shraddha, has asked me to write and direct a show on Love, Unexpected. Shraddha says that the public would love a spin off."
"That's amazing!" Kriti said.
"That's great! I am going to see myself on TV! Oh my god! This is the first time I am getting butterflies in my stomach since the day Aarav proposed."
"Technically it won't be you. It will probably be Sriti Roy."
"I remember that feeling when I heard that Harman Singh and Sana Ali were playing Rishi and I!"
"So, what's going to be the name? Who's gonna play Aarav? Are you playing yourself? What about Sammy?"
"I am not telling you anything except the fact that I possibly couldn't write, direct as well as be a regular on the show. I may be making a cameo appearance, nothing more. Plus, Ahsaas Arora has already been narrating the first story as Alisha." I replied.
"Ugh! You bore!" Naina whined like a baby.
"I know I am."
"But I still can't believe it that you put Rishi and my theme song as Tere Naina on the show. I cringe every time I hear it." Kriti said.
"It's a good song!" I protested.
