Song : Aaj Din Chadheya from Love Aaj Kal

"He got in. On an academic scholarship. He leaves next week." Aarav finished.
I stood there, speechless.
"Aloo, you okay?" Naina asked.
"Yeah. I'm alright." I said.
"Guys, let's go." Kriti knocked.
"Coming." Aarav replied.
"Naina, could you please take out my black block heels?" I asked.
"Yeah sure." She said softly.
She opened her arms to give me a hug.
"Don't be upset babe. We all know how bug of an asshole my brother is." Naina whispered.
I nodded.
As Aarav and Naina left the room, the tears I had been holding back started flowing.
"No, Aloo. You can't cry. It's your big day today." I wiped my tears off.
Adding the last touch ups of my makeup, I walked out of the room.
"Thanks Neenu." I said as I put on my heels.
I went to the society compound to find Naina's parents, Kritz, Mom and Sam standing.
"Alisha--" Sam started.
"Aloo, Rishi wants to talk to you." Kriti said handing me the phone.
Sorry, missed this. Rishi and Kriti were a thing now. Long story. The firangi dumped Kriti. Kriti was heartbroken. Rishi acted like a man and helped her get over him. Kriti finally realised that she was in love with my darling uncle. Yeah, that much happened in 6 months. That and the fact that Juhi aunty and Ma had already started planning their wedding. Yeah, and Kriti decided that she was to young to be called chachi so, we started calling her Kritz.
"Congratulations, Choti. Finally, you can get out of that damned city." Rishi said.
"I know, right! Finally I can get away from Kolkata's people."
"Bangalore or Bombay?" He asked.
"First Bangalore. Then Bombay. And then, probably, if life permits, Hollywood."
"That's the spirit! Keep big dreams!"
"Now stop talking like an old man and talk to Aarav. He's missed you too much."
"I know you guys miss me. And I promise, I'll be there as soon as possible." He replied.
"You have to."
I handed the phone to Aarav and walked to Naina who was talking to Asshole.
I held her hand and pulled her away from him."Ow!" She cried rubbing her wrist.
"You're coming with me in our car." I said.
"Sorry bro, Kritz is driving all four of us in one car. And Papa is driving Juhi Ma and Maahi aunty in another car."
"No way!"
"Yes way!"
"Alisha!" Sam called.
I ignored him and got into the car. Sitting in the front seat, I plugged in my earphones.
