Tying Up Loose Ends

Bucky was cuddle with Ramona close to where Steve was living, he was watching his friend pack his things along with the guy that was with him back at Shield. Ramona was also watching all the while wagging her tail, she wanted to go over to say hi to Steve but Bucky had a tight hold on her. Bucky could hear them speak about New York and something about the Avengers, Steve and the man was joking around as they were loading boxes into a truck. Bucky didn't know what the Avengers were or what they did, but anything Steve was apart of couldn't be all bad. Bucky would miss his friend, but seeing him go and leaving the state, gave Bucky a sense of reassurance that his friend would be ok. Bucky then look down to Ramona who was watching them putting boxes into the truck then walking back to the apartment for more, Bucky pet Ramona on her body, "Do you want to say bye to him girl?" Bucky ask looking back to Steve apartment, he wasn't so sure it would be a good idea to let her say bye to him, Bucky wasn't ready to confront him just yet, he wasn't ready to see his friend disappointment in him at what he became. Bucky didn't want his friend to be caught up in his own mess, he have to try and find himself on his own, for his own sake. "Go ahead girl, I need to go to the museum anyway and I can't bring you with me inside." Bucky said while rubbing Ramona and looking at the apartment. Bucky let go of Ramona then he decided to write Steve a quick note, when Bucky was finish he taped the note to Ramona new collar that he got for her. 

"Ok girl, i'll see you later ok." Bucky said giving Ramona a kiss, then making his way to the museum to find out more about James Barnes. Ramona was watching him leave, then she slowly walked over to the truck that she seen Steve and Sam at. Ramona waited close to the truck for Steve and Sam to make their way back outside, she then heard their voices coming close to the truck. Sam was the first to spot her then Steve, both was as still as stone. "Ramona?" Steve said dropping his box on the ground running up to her giving her a huge hug. Ramona whined and licked and jumped on Steve circling around in his arms, "Oh girl, i'm glad you're ok." Steve said giving her a big squeeze. "Hey girl, long time no see." Sam said making his way over to her petting her on the head. Ramona licked his hand with her tail going a mile a minute. Steve pulled back, then began to look around the area, he knew Bucky had to be close if Ramona was here, "Where is he girl, please tell me he's close." Steve said while still looking around, Sam was also looking around walking away from them searching for Bucky. Of course they couldn't find him, the man wasn't called a ghost for no reason. "I guess, he isn't around" Sam said putting his hands in his pockets. "No, I don't think so either  Sam, he must be close if Ramona is here." Steve said looking at Ramona then spotting the note that was attached to her collar. Steve grab the note, but decided to save it for later. "He must've know that you were leaving, maybe he was watching you this whole time." Sam said putting the last of the boxes in the truck then closing the back door locking it in place.

Steve knew that Sam was properly right about that, it wouldn't surprise him that Bucky was under his nose this whole time. Why else would Ramona show up out of all the times that him and Sam have been looking. Steve smiled at Ramona then bend down to pet her again earning him a kiss on the nose, "I'm going to miss you girl, keep him safe, watch over him for me." Steve said rubbing Ramona on her chest. Ramona look at Steve in his eyes then lean her head against his chin rubbing her head underneath it. Steve pulled her close once more, "I'm going back New York, I know i'll see you again, don't worry. Hopefully when he's ready." Steve said pulling back from Ramona. Sam smiled at the two, he would miss that big Ol' dog that's for sure, "Yea, and tell him he owes me a new car." Sam said with a smile petting Ramona floppy ear. Ramona moved away from Steve jumping on Sam giving him a face full of spit, while Sam was trying to fight off Ramona, Steve open his note and smiled, he looked to the sky before pulling out a pen writing a response to Bucky note. "Come on Sam, it's time to move out, back to New York we go." Steve said. Sam got up off the ground pushing Ramona off of him, his face was feeling sickie and gross, "Hold on man let me was my face before we leave, cause this dog is disgusting." Sam said walking into Steve old apartment to wash up. Steve smiled as he put his response onto Ramona collar, "Bye girl. I love you." Steve said giving Ramona one last hug.

Ramona was enjoying all the attention that she was receiving from Steve. She knew she had to get to Bucky, Ramona pulled away then she gave Steve one last kiss. Ramona caught Bucky scent then was making her way towards him, Ramona looked back to Steve one final time before taking off. Steve watched as Ramona took off down the street, towards the museum, Steve smiled, he knew that there was a chance that if he left that ad close to his place Bucky would find it and hopefully find the answers that he needs. Sam walked out with a clean face, "So, do you still want to look for him?" he asked watching Ramona disappear from their sights. "Not now Sam, maybe soon, but not now." Steve said getting into the driver seat of the moving truck. "If you don't mind, what did his note say." Sam ask remembering that Bucky wrote Steve a note. Steve smiled and said,"Till the End of the Line."

Bucky have been sitting at the museum for what felt like hours looking at everything in the Captain America exhibit and writing down every little memory that pop up. Bucky couldn't believe how much history was here regarding himself along with his friends. Seeing everything that they accomplish was just a wonder. A security guard told him it was closing time, Bucky gather his things walking outside spotting Ramona at the front door laying down soaking up the sun. Bucky let out a small laugh, "Hey girl." Bucky said. Ramona jumped up and greeted him with lots of love. Bucky quickly wanted to leave, this could be a hot spot for the authorities to come and look for him. Bucky and Ramona made their way to their park, Bucky pulled out his journal and began to read it, bring back all the memories, some new ones even crept in. Ramona was enjoying the pets she was receiving as Bucky was reading over his memories and writing down new ones. Bucky then felt a piece of paper attach to Ramona collar, he took off the note from her collar and read Steve response to him."I'm always with you too." Bucky smiled, he understood more of what Steve was to him after his trip to the museum, knowing that their friendship haven't change was comfort. "You know girl, maybe there is hope." Bucky said to Ramona, Bucky was feeling just a little more secured with himself, he knew he still had a long way to go but this was a great start to understanding himself.
