Brook sat there, taking deep breaths so she didn't go into a panic attack. She grabbed her arms as she remembered the horrible trama that happened years ago, triggered by what happened today.

"He's not gonna touch you again." She whispered to herself but she didn't believe it and she continued to cry.

She remembered the guy back then and her now ex-friend from today. "It's your fault he touched your ass."

She then remembered the guy she liked, who she knew didn't like her back. She couldn't make him feel like he mattered, why would he wanna date her?!

There was a knock on her door and she wiped away her tears and continued to shake, grabbing a book so she didn't look weird.

"Brook?" She heard Darry ask.

"Yeah?" Fuck. Her voice was shaky as all hell.

"You ok?"

She said the two words that would be the biggest lie of her teenage life, "I'm fine."

"Hun, you're not. Can I come in?"

"Sure." She swallowed.

Darry came in and walked over to her and sat on her bed. She looked up and he saw her teary face with bloodshot eyes and dark wet eyelashes.

"Come here." Darry felt heartbroken to see his sister like this. She came over and hugged him and his Protecting arms made her cry harder.

"I deserve to be with a guy who abuses me for all my mistakes, maybe I'll die..." She told herself but some was telling Darry.

"You do not. If any guy lays a hand on you, we'll have a dead body in our basement." He promised her. "I failed at that when I was younger but now I'm here and I'll always be here. Through every break-up."

"What if he doesn't like me back...I'm annoying! I can't make him feel like he matters!" She cried harder, feeling like she was being stabbed I the chest

"That's his fault." He comforted her. "You're beautiful and amazing."

Brook soon fell asleep on her brother's shoulder and he set a blanket over her.
