The gang was out at the house. Brook of course didn't speak but instead she stared outside the window, staring off into space.
"Doll, you alright?" Ian asked. Brook didn't hear him, she was too deep into her world. A bit too deep.
She couldn't stop thinking about her ex-boyfriend. She remembered one of those days like it was last week to be honest.
Brook was in school, talking to her friends when her boyfriend came over. She smiled but he didn't. "Hey, you ok?" She asked.
"I need to talk to you over there." He said. Without waiting, he grabbed her by her arm tightly and pulled her over. He let go and Brook kept herself from rubbing her arm. "I'm grounded, I can't talk to you on the phone."
"Why?" She asked, but she knew why.
"Got caught in the park again."
"You need to stop doing that!" Brook snapped.
"Don't tell me what to do." He growled and stormed off. Brook walked back over to her friends with a fake smiled and acted like she wasn't terrified that he was gonna hit her.
He never hit her, but at times she could tell he wanted to. He called her whore one time but she blamed it on the drugs. Brook was too gullible to realize so she got back with him.
"Kayla, can you see my you know what?" Brook turned her back to her friend to check.
The girls had each other's backs, needed it every month if you get it.
"Hey! That's my job!" Brook's boyfriend yelled as a joke.
"You have no right staring at it!" Kiera yelled at him.
"But she's my girlfriend, so I automatically have rights."
Brook was too uncomfortable to speak. "You're gross!" Kiera yelled.
"Thank you!"
Later that day Brook had to get her books. She went to her locker, which happened to be next to her boyfriend's friend's locker.
"Have fun with Derek last night?" He smirked.
"What?" Brook was confused.
"He told us all about it, stretchy." Was all he said before he left. Brook was too disgusted and terrified to move.
The bell rang and she immediately went to 6th hour- which she had with Derek.
"Why did you say that to Alex?!" Brook asked. "Nothing happened last night!"
Derek laughed. "It was a joke, relax."
"He didn't take it as a joke!"
"I said relax. God."
"I'm sorry..." Brook looked down at her work.
A few days later she was sitting at lunch with her boyfriend and his friends. He never looked at her when he was at school with friends.
"Daddy's girl." Alex smirked.
"Can you just shut the fuck up already?!" Brook yelled. She then got up and went to the bathroom.
She hated being in the relationship, but she loved him so she didn't leave.
Brook layed back in the corner and slide down, crying. No one there to hold her, no one there to tell her 'I love you', no one there to tell her how much she meant to them.
Her breathing continued to quicken and she almost missed her bus because she didn't have anyone to help her.
"Brook!" Pony yelled at his sister. She looked at them in confusion. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing." She lied.
"Brook." Ian warned. Brook shook her head.
"I'm fine." She lied again, her throat closing and hurting, knowing she was gonna cry any second.
Ian walked over and pulled Brook to him and the comfort made her lose her power of holding it in.
She hugged him and let the tears fall. She never told Ian about how Derek used to drink and do drugs because she didn't wanna seem like an attention whore. He just knew that he was a bad person.
Pony came over and hugged her as well and she calmed down a bit faster.
Based on a true story...I'll leave...
