Questions and Hokage's

'Look,' Sasuke said. 'Itachi told me the only way to win this war is by reanimating the former Hokage. And I will do it, because... I need to ask them something. And, we're up against Madara. We need all the help we can get.'

I raised my eyebrows.

'I'm sorry, we? We're up against Madara? Aren't you part of the Akatsuki?'

He locked eyes with me.

'Not anymore.'

I wanted to argue, but I didn't. I knew exactly what he was going to ask the Former Hokage's, and that had to happen. So, I was letting him go. Just this once.

'Fine then. And I assume you are going to resurrect Oorochimaru to reanimate them?'

'Yes.'

'How?'

'None of your business.'

'Sasuke, if you don't tell me, nothing is happening.'

He glared and then told me that they would be resurrecting Oorochimaru using one of the people who had received his curse mark. I will spare you the details of the process, and since the person will not be harmed, I let them go.

'Better make it quick,' I said. 'We need to go back there.'

They nodded and left. I patrolled the boundaries for a while and didn't sense any danger. So, I did something I hadn't done for a long time.

I went down to the place where the homes of the Uchiha clan once stood. It was all destroyed now, of course (because of Nagato's attack) but the basement containing the sacred Uchiha scriptures was intact. I went down there, with a goal in mind.

I lit the torches with my fire jutsus. I then glanced at the stone tablet. It was right in the centre of the chamber, with something inscribed on it. I didn't know what it was, and I always wondered. It was written in some old, forgotten language. I wondered who could decipher it.

I stood in front of the chest, placed beside the stone tablet. I opened it. Inside were loads of old books, filled with information and history. I settled down with my Sharingan on, ready to find what I was looking for.

I found way more than I hoped.

The child of the prophecy would be born of the strongest of the Uchihas, the book said. She would bring great peace, or great destruction. Her eye would be the strongest combined eye, and it would sweep across the nations, missing nothing. She would rule the world, one way or another. This scripture will be fulfilled. The day she turns seventeen, the world will either be completely obliterated, or completely calm.

She will not be the strongest, but will defeat the strongest. She will rid the world of the she-demon. She will defeat her ancestor. But in the end, she will not have a peaceful demise, for that is not her destiny.

I blinked.

Combined eye?

Ruler?

My seventeenth birthday?

I will defeat a demon?

I will not die a peaceful death?

My mind was going a hundred miles an hour. I didn't understand anything of what the book said. As far as I knew, there was nothing related to my seventeenth birthday or a demon. This was... something else.

I had no words.

I stared at the page for a little longer, before shutting my mind down. This wasn't what I came here for. I needed to search for something else.
