Since so many people asked for it, here is the short story with Hana and Sasuke!

'Kakashi-sensei~,' I sang as I entered the Hokage's office, 'how's the job?' I plopped down on his desk as he looked up at me with his one-eyed smile.

'Tiring, as usual,' he groaned, 'I'm barely getting enough sleep.' I giggled and patted his shoulder. Despite what he said, Konoha was running great. People were happy and relations with other nations couldn't have been better.

'You're doing a great job,' Sasuke said as he entered the office too, 'the other nations seem pretty satisfied.' I hopped off the desk and moved to stand beside him. Sensei nodded in acknowledgement.

'So,' I said, 'what mission was so important you needed to call us here in person? I've been worried for the past hour since people here are capable enough to handle anything.' Sensei's expression turned serious and the mood changed instantly. He had that effect on everyone.

'There have been reports of shinobi going missing on the borders of Konoha, and sightings of mysterious shadows. Reports say they move too fast to pinpoint what they actually are. I'm suspecting this is a genjuitsu users doing, and since you both are Uchiha, there is no one better suited to handle this problem,' he summarized, and handed us reports with details and statements from witnesses.

'I see that this is disrupting travel and business,' I mused. Sasuke nodded.

'We need to figure out their intentions,' he said, handing back the reports. 'No dead bodies or tracks were found. I agree, Hana and I are best suited to handle this. Naruto and the rest should stay in and protect the village.' Sensei nodded.

'Thank you,' he said, 'I know you won't let me down.' I smiled and hugged him before I jumped out of the window and into the busy crowds, Sasuke not far behind.

'Sasuke,' I said, 'how long do you say it will take to kill those idiots? Three hours? Or maybe two... depends on how lazy I am.' He chuckled at my arrogant statement. I smirked.

'They move too fast for normal shinobi to see, so we should be able to keep up with our Sharingan,' he said. 'and if it's a genjuitsu user, we should question him before we kill.' I hummed in response.

'Let's meet up with the others and spend the night,' I suggested randomly. Sasuke looked at me out of the corner of his eye. I shrugged. 'Its late anyway, let's head out at sunrise.' He gave me one of his little "hn"s, which I loved.

I ran up to Ichiraku, knowing I would find Naruto there. Sure enough, all my friends were having a feast.

'Surprise!' I chirped, and plopped down. Many shocked faces turned at my unexpected arrival. I winked. 'I'll have today's special, please.' I placed my order while they took a second to recover.

'Hana!' Naruto yelled, and tackled me into a hug. I laughed and hugged him back. 'What are you doing here?' he asked, 'I thought you were in the land of iron!' I looked over his shoulder and grinned all the familiar faces there: Shikamaru, Sai, Kiba, Hinata, Choji, Lee, Ino, Sakura, and some more.

'Sasuke and I came back because Kakashi-sensei called us for an urgent mission,' I explained. I then briefly dove into the details so they weren't completely in the dark. Shikamaru was deep in thought.

'I suggest you take backup,' he said, 'this sounds very suspicious. You can't dive in without knowing what you're up against.' I shrugged.

'I have Sasuke with me,' I stated, 'that's as good as having a whole legion of the shinobi alliance.'

'But I'm better,' Naruto muttered. Everyone laughed. We spent more than half the night in Ichiraku, drinking and sharing stories. Sasuke sat quietly in the corner, not talking but very much a part of the conversation. A few hours later, we bid farewell and set out on our different paths.
