The room was full of men. Not a single woman to be seen. "Who did you get here?", a drunk man asked. "Oh, those? May I introduce it? Eponine and Clara Thénardier. They are Gavroches sisters.", he introduced.
"Well, why did you bring them here?", a man asked. He was absolutely gorgeous. His curly blonde hair shone in the candlelight. His eyes were a beautiful shade of blue. But Marius completely ignored his question. "Hey, Courfeyrac. How are you doing?" Instead of answering, he took a bottle.
"No need to drink yourself to death. That's Grantaires thing. I am sorry that things with Combeferre haven't worked out." "They did." "I'm really sorry— Wait, what?", Marius asked. "We are a thing now, sort of." "Alright, may I introduce my friends to you?" At the word "friends" I could hear Eponines heart shatter.
"Well greetings and salutations Mademoiselle.", he greeted. "Bonsoir Monsieur.", I greeted. "So you both are the mysterious favorite women from Gavroche.", he said. Eponine and I looked down at Gavroche. He just smiled sheepishly. "I guess.", Eponine answered.
The man named Courfeyrac nodded. Marius guided us to a table with two men sitting there. "Jehan, Feuilly, may I introduce? Eponine and Clara." "Bonsoir Mademoiselle.", the man, who was called Jehan, greeted.
"So you're his sisters?" "Yes, we are.", Eponine replied.

"Girls, we should leave. The Café is closing now.", Marius said. Eponine got up from her seat and followed him. "Yeah sure, I'll be with you in a minute.", I said. They nodded and walked down the stairs.
That strange man and I were the only ones in the room now. I got up from my seat and took the seat next to him. "What are you doing?" "Planning." "What are you planning?" "A Revolution."
"Could you maybe give me more than 2 words for an answer?", I asked. "What do you want from me?", he asked. "I am interested. Are you treating your friends like that too?" "They're used to it by now." "But I am not, so please tell me about your Revolution.", I begged.
"Fine. What do you want to know?", he asked. "Start off with your name. I don't like to call people stranger." "It's Enjolras." "Clara." "I'm aware.", he said. "Tell me about your Revolution." "We're trying to overthrow the King. He's good for nothing. He steals from the people, he lets people starve. He raised the price for bread.", he said.
"I want to help people who are less fortunate than me. Those who live on the streets and fight to stay alive.", he added. "Wow. I thought no one cared about us. I mean the people of the streets. We feel forgotten.", I said. "You live on the streets?" "No. We have a home, it's a room, that's it. It still won't keep the chill outside."
"What about food?" "When we're on our last piece of bread, we give it to Gavroche." "And what about you? Why are you interested in the Revolution?" "Because it's needed." "Clara, are you coming?", Eponine yelled. "I'm sorry. I have to go." "Are you coming to the meeting tomorrow?", he asked.
"Sure.", I said. Then I bid my goodbye and left the room. On our way home I had to think about him. What made him this harsh? Did something happen to him when he was a child? He had a facade made of Marble, but he could be nice too. Also, why was I thinking about him?
"Clara, are you alright? You almost ran into the pole.", Eponine said. "Oh yeah. I am alright. I am just tired. Today was an exhausting day.", I said. "You're right. You need some sleep.", Eponine said. Then we continued our walk home.
