5: The letter...

Alana's pov

I sat with dodger in my lap and Chris walks in and dodger stays with me. "Hey guys." He greets me and my brother and I look up at my boyfriend "hey cap." I say and Steve smiles and Chris kisses my head. "What's that?" He asks "it's a letter from my mom." I say and he frowns.

"Awe. Guys, I'm so sorry." He says wrapping his arm around my shoulder "it's okay. I'm about to read it." I say to Chris "open it." He says and open it and it's says,

"Dear Alana,

I didn't want you to have Nathan as a father. I'm so sorry my love. When you were two, he was gonna put you into adoption. Instead, I made sure that didn't happen because I love you and your brother so much. When I saw you and Steve watching Thor, your name was Loki and Steve was Thor. You two were so cute taking my habits of watching marvel movies. I hope one day you'll meet captain America! Because you love him and he'll love you too. Don't be sad that I'm gone. I miss and love you I'm sorry that I killed myself in front of you guys I didn't mean to scare you. Sorry for everything. Alana, I hope you and your brother know I love you.

P.s. I'm with you, til the end of the line." And I read it out loud for Steve and Chris to hear. "Mom truly loves us." Steve said and I run outside crying. And Steve and Chris followed me.

I ran to mom's grave and I kneeled to where her stone was with the Lillie's her favourite flower. "Come back to me." I whisper and I hear footsteps behind me. "Alana?" Steve asks "leave me alone." I say to them. And they continue to walk up behind me and Chris's wraps his arms around me tight.

"Don't ever leave me?" I ask Chris in a whisper "I won't. I promise you I love you." He said and Steve kneels beside me and so does Chris. Chris picks me up while I'm "sleeping" and he places me in the backseat with dodger. "She took our mom's death pretty hard." Steve said talking to Chris

"Kill herself?" He asks and I hear Steve say "yes. Ever since then, Alana has had depression. She's on meds for it." And I hear Chris gasps and I actually fall asleep.

Steve's pov

"Oh my gosh. She doesn't seem like she has depression." Chris says "she's been covering it up." I said to him as he's still in total shock. "Whenever she's with you, she's happy." I say to him. And he smiles hearing that she's happy with him.

"I love her." He says "she loves you too. Trust me, I know she does." I say "Steve can I ask you something?" He whispers "yea what?" I whisper him not wanting Alana to hear "can she move in with me?" He whispers "of course." I say and he smiles.

Alana's pov (at home)

I woke up in my bed and Chris beside me "Hey babe." He says "Chris. I thought you left?" I asked "nope. I know you're still upset." Chris said and I smile.

"Why would I be upset. I'm happy. I have Charlie, Steve, Dodger, and importantly, you." I say trying to convince him.
"Alana, are you sure?" He asked I lay on his arm and cuddle him "honestly, I don't know anymore." I say as. Steve.walks in my room "Hey kiddo." Steve says "Hey." I whisper

"Look, I can't lie to you anymore. Mom wasn't actually your mother." He says and I sit up holding Chris's hand. "What do you mean?" I asked him
"Mom, dad, and I wanted a little girl around the house. And mom couldn't get pregnant. And so, we heard or rose orphanage. We saw you and fell in love and took you in. You've been with us since you were two in a half."

Steve explained "is that why we don't look alike?" I ask and he looks down sadly "I want us to be related, Alana I really do." He said "so, you didn't bother to til me till mom died?" I asked
"I am so sorry, Alana! I wanted to tell you, but mom and dad didn't." He said with tears "I love you as my real brother anyway." I say.

I go outside and start up my car "where u going?" Chris asked "rose orphanage. Wanna come?" I asked he nodded and got in.

At the orphanage

"Hello, how can I help you?" A lady asked "hi. My name is Alana rose Rogers. I heard I was here since I was a baby." I explain and she looked at me.closely.

"Oh, Alana, we've missed you sweetie." She said "I came to talk about my parents." I said and she took me and Chris to a room.

"Who's this?" She asked me referring to Chris "Oh, this is my boyfriend, Chris Evans." I tell her and he smiles at the word 'boyfriend' and I smile at him

"Nice to meet you, Chris!" She said "you as well." He said and she walked over files and started looking for me. Chris grabbed my hand for support

"Alana. Your mother is Nancy Wright and your father is Joe driver."

"Are they a live?" I asked "yes, but since it was hard giving you away, they don't want to see you." I look down

"Do I have siblings?" I asked her and she smiled "yes your brother came by when you were already taken. Your sister came as well." She said

"What are their names?" Chris asked "your brother is Adam driver. Your sister is April driver." I smile. "Do you have a number?" I asked

"Not your parents or sister, but we do have Adams." She gave me a number "thank you." I say and she just smiles "wanna know your real name?" She asked
"Please." Chris asked "Ariana Lillian driver." She said and I say "let's go.find April and Adam."
