chapter ten

When you walk in, you feel Aidan's hand brush against yours, making your face instantly heat up. Then a woman with a kind face comes up to you, guiding you all to a small, round table. You end up between Mace and Aidan. You had just got given menu's and were about to start ordering when your phone gave a ping.

Unknown number

You're honestly such a slag go die lmao nobody cares about you and Aidan only loves me. So just please, do us all a favour, and leave Aidan alone. Or else shits gonna go down.

Tears start forming in your eyes, and you decide you can either cry in front of the whole restaurant filled with fancy people, run to the bathroom or run out of the building altogether. During thinking so deeply over this, you don't realise all the piercing eyes on you, or everyone at your table asking if you're okay. You choose to run to the bathroom, not wanting to fully leave, and not wanting to absolutely humiliate yourself.

You get up and start to run, only to stumble over slightly, tripping up over your own feet, and going completely red, but just carrying onto the bathroom, not bothering to turn around, or even being able to hear the subtle shouts from your friends.

Once you get into the bathroom, you lock yourself in a stall, grabbing your phone and deciding to text back the unknown number.

Who are you? Why would you say that?! Do you even know me??

Of course I know you, you're the dumb bitch who stole my man. But it's okay, because I always get what I want.

The person gave an instant reply, making you even more nervous.

Who is this?!

No reply. You felt sick to your stomach. Suddenly, you hear a knock on the stall door, bringing you back to the real world, making you notice the quiet sobs you'd been letting out.

"Y/n? What's the matter? Are you okay?"
You open the door to see Lizzy's face, and she instantly hugs you as tightly as humanly possible.
"Y/n! What's wrong? Why're you crying?!" She says, gently holding your chin and pulling your head upwards, seeing the tears in your eyes, and the tear stains that remained on your cheeks. You just show her your phone, not trusting your voice to be able to form a sentence.

"Holy sh*t! Who would do this?!" She says, pulling you back into a hug. You just shrug, hugging her back.
"Honey, you have to tell Aidan. Show him what this horrid persons been sending you. When did this start??" She says, staring you directly in the eyes.
"I-I'm not telling Aidan. This only just st-started. It's not a big deal!"
"Y/n. If it's making you cry, it's clearly a big deal! Now, I can't force you to tell Aidan, but I'm only strongly, strongly advising you to." And with that, she walked out of the bathroom, leaving you alone again.

Aidan's POV

Y/n's just run off and you don't know what to do. You can't go after her, as she went in the girls bathroom. You just stay put, as Lizzy got up and ran after her.
"Aidan, do you know anything about whatever the hell just happened??" Mace says, looking over at you.
"Hm? Oh, no, I-i have no idea..." You say, staring down at the blank space in front of you.
"Casey? Do you know anything about it?" Mace asks, directing his attention to the blonde-haired boy, who looked rather baffled.
"Nope, but if I ever find out, you'll be the first to know." You feel bad for not going after her. It isn't too late, right? No, no, you can't just go storming into the girls bathroom. That'll just look horrific. Suddenly, you see Lizzy coming back to the table.
"Lizzy, what's wrong with y/n?" You say, concern dominant in your voice.
"Oh, um, well I can't tell you, she's gotta be the one to tell you that, if she feels fit to." You could tell y/n was crying, and alone in the bathroom.
"Why did you leave her alone?" You say, slight anger present in your tone.
"I'm sorry!" She says, clearly picking up on the angry tone in your voice and using it back.
"Guys, calm down, y/n's coming back now." Casey says, pointing to y/n, looking down sadly.

Your POV

You go to the sink and splash some water on your face, trying to compose yourself. You slowly go back to your table, looking nowhere but your shoes.
"Y/n! What happened?"
"Are you okay?"
Everyone starts bombarding you with questions that you didn't want to answer, so you just sit down, mumbling a little
"I'm fine", and continuing with the dinner.

There was some sort of unspoken rule, as for the rest of the night, it wasn't talked about again. The food was lovely, and there weren't any obvious awkward moments which was good.

It was the end of the night, and you were all waiting for Lizzy's mom to come pick you all up again.
"I'll get in the boot, since I'm the one getting dropped off first." You say, smiling.
"No way are you getting in the back, I'll get in the boot, you go in the actual seat that's safe and what-not." Aidan says, whilst Lizzy, Mace and Casey were laughing about some joke they'd all made.
"Aidan, you don't have to be so protective" you say through giggles.
"I can handle a boot of a car."
"Alright, alright, you win." He says, putting his hands up in defense.
