Chapter Two

AIDAN'S POV

(day of the script reading, basically chapter one in Aidan's POV)

My mom bursts into my slightly messy room to wake me up. Today is the day I'm going to the script reading for the umbrella academy and I'm meeting the rest of the cast. I'm nervous, always thinking of the worst. I have a shower and play my playlist.

I get out of the shower and get dressed into some black jeans and a plain white t-shirt, and go downstairs.
"Ahhhh, here he isss, my little boyyy" my mom says as i walks into the kitchen
"morning mom, morning dad" i says, smiling brightly.
"Today's the big day, eh?" My dad says.
"Yeah, I'm finally gonna meet the rest of the cast" i say happily.
"You nervous at all?" She says, already knowing the answer.
"A bit, yes, but don't worry about me. I'll be fine..."

*time skip*

I get out of the passenger seat of my moms car and wave at her.
"Bye baby, you'll do amazing honey!"
"Bye, mom" I say as i get out of the car and go into the building in front of me. As soon as i went in, i instantly went over to a seat and got my phone out, going on it for a while, waiting for people to arrive so the reading could just start.

I then see Lizzy, my old friend who I met from working on a different show with, standing with this stunning girl. Was she going to be working on the show too? I hope so. I decide to go over to them and find out if she was on the show, and just to see Lizzy.
"oh speak of the devil... Aidan!!" So they were speaking about me?

Lizzy runs up to me.
"Lizzy!" I chuckle, hugging her back.
"It's been too long! oh, Aidan, this is y/n. y/n, this is Aidan." I smile kindly at the girl and she smiles back. Gosh her smiles beautiful.
"Hey.." I say quietly. I couldn't think straight, she was just so gorgeous.
"Hi, who do you play?" She asks
"I play number five, you?" I says, wanting to know about her.
"I-i play number e-eight" out of the corner of my eye, i could see y/n staring at me, but i was too preoccupied in the moment while listening to Lizzy to do anything about it.
"So, we'll meet Casey and Mace later, yeah Aidan?" Lizzy questions.
"Yeah, that'll be fun!" I say, trying to give Lizzy my full attention.
"y/n? y/nnn?? y/n!" I hear Lizzy screaming at y/n's face.
"I'm listening! I'm listening!" I hear Y/n say, causing me to let out a slight chuckle. Damn she was cute.

"Anyway, so I was thinking that we could all go to the beach together? You know, us three, Mace and Casey?"
"That sounds great!" I say, cheerily
"Yeah, I'm up for it!" Y/n says, matching my tone.
"Great!" As if on cue, a bell sounds, signifying that the script reading was about to start. A knot suddenly tied in my stomach. I had never been more nervous. I didn't know why, but i just was.
"I'll meet you guys when you're finished, okay?" Lizzy says
"Yeah" y/n says, smiling at her
"Of course!" I say, as I turn to y/n
"You ready?" I say to y/n, feeling dreadfully nervous
"Always. Are you?" Y/n says, very confidently
"Uh, I-I think" i stutter, looking worried and feeling way worse
"You'll be great. Now let's go!" Y/n says, grabbing my hand and pulling me to the script reading.

Once we get there, I see y/n look down, and I follow her eyes to see our hands still locked together, and y/n pulls away, blushing hard and looking down at her feet.
"S-sorry..." y/n mumbles to me, making me chuckle softly
"It's okay." I say as sweetly as I can.
I sit down and think about that whole moment again and again. Gosh she was amazing...
