"He's still in hospital, we'll go together." He says, standing up next to you. You are grateful to have a friend as good as Mace, but wished that he had told you about Aidan sooner.

He called an Uber, and after ten seconds you had already gotten sick of waiting. Mace held your hands in his and looked into your eyes (eeee I cantttt)
"(Y/n), it'll all be okay. He'll be okay. He's strong, just like you are. It's all gonna be okay." He hugs you and you hug back, tearing up.
"Thank you, Mace. It means a lot." You hear Mace's phone go off, and you both snap your head to it, and he takes it out, looking at it. We both see it's the Uber, and I look up at him, before running out the door. Mace follows you, running right behind you. You instantly hop in the back, and so does Mace, telling the driver where he wanted to go.

Soon enough, you both arrived, and you ran in, whilst leaving Mace to pay for the Uber. You ran up to the desk, asking the lady at the front what room he was in, and as soon as she told you, you started running up the stairs, as the lift hadn't come after about ten seconds of you spamming the button. As soon as you got to the room, you burst inside, seeing Aidan on the hospital bed, weak and pale, his face heavy with sadness, and his eyes closed.

"Aidan, oh my gosh, I'm so so so sorry, I didn't know..." you couldn't finish as you start to sob at the sight of him.
"I-I didn't know..." you run up to his side and put your head in your hands, to hear a croaky voice startle you.
"(Y/n), (y/n), why on earth are you crying??"
It was Aidan.
You looked over to him and sat down on a chair next to the head of his bed.
"B-because, all the time that I spent in the hospital.. I- and I- (oop) a-and I thought that you just, that you just didn't want to see me. That I'd done something wrong. Nobody told me that you'd got hit as well, I- I just, I didn't know, and I'm so, so sorr-"
"(Y/n)! Stop! It's okay! I told everyone not to tell you, as you already had so much going on, and I knew that if you knew my state, you'd do anything to see me, even hurt yourself, and I just couldn't let that happen. I... I lo-... I care about you too much to sit by and let that happen." he mumbles that last part quietly, almost as if to himself.

"(Y/n)? (Y/N)?!" you hear Mace shout from the halls. You quickly go out of the room and wave at him, making sure that he saw you, before shutting the door so that it was only open a bit, and go right back to Aidan's side, trying to make up for lost time that you missed in the hospital bed. You take his hand and squeeze it in between both of yours, and smiles over at him as Mace came into the room, looking at both of your faces, then down to your hands, and a flash of emotion came over his face that you couldn't quite place, before he covered it with a smirk. 

"Oh, uh, sorry... I'll, um.. leave you both to it..." he says, turning on his heels.

"NO! I-I mean, stay.." you blurt out awkwardly. 

"Wow... Now I feel like the third-wheel.." Aidan lightly chuckles.

"N-not that Mace ever was a.. you know.." he says quietly.

"Third-wheel?" Mace says, emotionless.

"Yep.. that" Aidan sighs. You look between them and chuckle heartily. The three of you sit in a silence that doesn't convince you whether it's comfortable or not. You finally decide that it's uncomfortable when you see the looks that exchange between both Aidan and Mace. 

"Um.. I think I might go.. Leave you both to it... hehe.." Mace says, smiling down at you, before leaving and shutting the door gently behind him. 

"Geez... that was awkward..." Aidan says, letting out a small laugh.

"Aidan, what the hell was that?" you say, looking from the door Mace just went out of to Aidan.

"Pshhhh.... I-I don't know..." he says, a glimmer in his eye telling you he was lying, but deciding not to push him, you decide to just drop it for now, but definitely not forget it for now, maybe you'll bring it up again later.

You both sit in another silence, but without so much tension in the air, both staring into each others eyes, when a buzz interrupts your sweet shared moment. You look to the source of buzzing, to see your phone screen lit up. You pick it up and see a text from Mace, telling you to go out of the room, as he wanted to speak to you.

"S-sorry, Aidan, but, uhhh, Mace wants me.. sorry.." you say to him, smiling at him again.

"Oh... yeah, of course. Take as long as you need." he says sadly, watching you stand up and walk away. You go out of the room and Mace instantly grabs your arm and pulls you towards him. 

"Come on, we're going home." he says sternly.

"What??"

"We're going!" he says, not letting go of you. You snatch your arm away from him.

"Mace! I don't want to go now! We literally just got here!" you say, crossing your arms in stubbornness. This wouldn't end well for either of you, since you both equally stubborn.

"(Y/n), you've been in that room with him for about half an hour now! I'm getting bored waiting around for you. And I'm not going in ther-"

"then leave."

"what?"

"then leave! I can stay in Aidan's room all night!" Mace just stood there, slightly shocked.

"wait, (Y/n), lets jus-"

"no, Mace. leave."

"(Y/n).."

"you were the one who wanted to go so badly, weren't you?" and with that, he sighs, turns around and walks away. You walk back into Aidan's hospital room. 

"hey, is everything okay? I heard shouting.."

"no, no, everything's fine, i'm just going to spend the night here if that's okay. you know, make up for a bit of lost time.."

"of course! of course. hey, is Mace okay?"

"yeah yeah, he's going home now, ad he wanted me to come with him, is all. hey, um, would it be okay if I, um.. sleep in the bed with you? if not, you know, that's fine, I can sleep on the chair... I just-"

"yeah, of course you can!" he says, already shuffling over so that you could fit n next to him.

"thank you.." you say, getting in and facing him, smiling at him.

"of course, lov- (Y/n)..." he says, blushing deeply. you turn around so that you back is towards him, and soon enough, you begin to fall asleep, but something keeps you awake. you hear Aidan calling your name, but decide to ignore it, wanting to fall asleep as soon as possible, before feeling his arms wrap around your waist. soon after, you drift into a deep sleep, with his head resting in the crook of your neck.

I know I know its been so long and I'm so sorryyyyy

but quick little query, if I did a book about two gals falling in love, would anybody read it? you know, gotta get some gae shite in there. because I'm tempted to make a story about me and my crush ahemememm but more cute and we'd actually date lmao so if anyone would read that, tell me please  (it would come out after this book if anyone will actually read it) :) right now I'm feelin real aesthetic mcause I've got this pink tinted lamp on and my flask is next to me and I'm in a cardigan and skirt and listening to dodie (obviously) and I've got these new fake glasses that I just bought earlier today on because they're cute and I can.
