Meanwhile in the past, months had passed, and Donna's birthday arrived. In the early morning, she woke up happily, persuaded that her mother was going to surprise her by coming and celebrating with her. The day passed, Donna had been waiting since forever and Ruby didn't show up. Indeed, she was touring and didn't have time to visit her daughter. Donna had never felt this neglected.
