Chapter 12 - Prom?

A few months later

Ross' P.O.V.

It's November and it's almost our homecoming dance plus Laura's birthday! I'm still thinking of a way to ask Laura to the dance but I can't think of any ideas! Ugh this is so stressful.

I need to ask Rydel for advice. I walked to Delly's room and knocked. "Come in!" I heard her yell. I unlocked the door and saw Delly reading a book. "Hey Ross! What's up?" she said smiling while placing her book down on top of her table.

"Well, I kinda need ideas on how to ask Laura to the dance" I scratched the back of my neck. "Can you help me?" I waited for her answer but instead of answering my question, she squealed.

"Oh my gosh! Of course I'd help you Ross! Ahh this is so exciting!" she squealed again while jumping up and down.

"Woah calm down Dells I think you broke my eardrum" I said while touching my ears. She just giggles and went out of the room.

I looked at her confused. "What are you waiting for? Lets plan!" she yelled. "Oh right" I laughed awkwardly and went out of the room. I just heard her chuckle.

Laura's P.O.V.

I can't believe it's November! Our homecoming dance plus my birthday!

I wonder if Ross will ask me to the dance.

Come on Laura of course he will! You're his girlfriend!

I know... But maybe he has someone else in mind? I mean it's possible.

Come on Laura think positive!

Okay okay I will! I better stop talking to myself. I might get psycho.

I got a book to read. But before I could open it, I received a text.

Ryland's favorite color is red, Riker's favorite color is blue, meet me at the beach because I know you love it there too. - RSL

RSL? Hm, I wonder who it's from. But I'll go anyways.

I dressed up in black ripped leggings, a sweater since it's chilly outside and my white sandals. I let my hair flow naturally.

I went downstairs to find Vanessa. "Hey Ness" I said while grabbing my purse.
"Hey. Where are you going?"

"Just going to the beach for a walk" I smiled. She smirked. "Okay. Bye then" she said while going to the kitchen.

"Meanie" I mumbled. "Heard that!" she yelled from the kitchen.

I just walked out and walked to the beach.

But before I could start walking, I recognized Ness' smirk. I think she knows something. I just shrugged it off and continued walking.

I reached the beach and I saw rose petals laying on the sand leading to a blanket with picnic stuff on top of it. There were candles surrounding it.

Then I felt two strong arms wrap around my waist. I jump a little.

"Like the surprise?" I recognized that voice.

Ross.

I turned around to face him. I smiled. "This is for me?" I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Of Course it is. Who else would I do this for?" he said while placing his hands around my waist. I just smiled widely.

"Thanks Ross"

"No problem. Come on let's get the picnic started!" he said while grabbing my hand and sitting on the blanket.

We fed each other strawberries. Cuddled and just looked at the stars up at the sky.

"Ross?" I randomly asked. "Hmm?" "Why did you do this exactly?" I said while looking up at him. He smirked.

"Look up" I looked up and saw fireworks. And there was a message on it.

Prom?

I sat up and smiled widely. Ross did the same and I went to him.

I stared at him for a minute and kissed him passionately. I felt him smile during the kiss.

I pulled away but my eyes still closing.
"Soo.. is that a yes?" he asked nervously. I opened my eyes and smiled while nodding.

"Yes. Yes! I'll go to prom with you!" he smiled widely and hugged me. He lifted me off the ground while spinning me around. I giggled and placed my arms around him.

After a while he put me down but still hugging me. We were just standing there, at the beach, hugging.

We pulled away. "I love you Laur" "I love you too Ross" I smiled sweetly.

We kissed for five minutes but got interrupted with sounds of clicking.

We pulled away and guess who we saw.
Yep, Ross' siblings. Ross groaned. I just laughed on how he acts whenever his siblings ruin our moment.

"Oh my gosh! I knew she'd say yes!" Delly squealed.

"You owe me 20 bucks Rocky" Ryland said while putting his hand out to Rocky. "Yeah yeah whatever" he said while placing the money on Ryland's hand.

"Congrats Ross" Riker said. "Thanks Rike but this isn't a proposal" Ross chuckled. I just laughed. "Not a proposal YET." Ross emphasized the word "yet". I blushed.

"Aww! Ross is planning on proposing to Laura! How sweet!" of course, the one and only Rydel said. I blush again.

Ross placed his arm around me. "We better go guys it's getting late" they all nodded and we walked home.

We stopped by at my house and I faced Ross. "Thanks for tonight Ross" I smiled. "Anything for the most special girl in the world" he smiled.

We kissed which didn't take long because again, someone interrupted us. "Guys no sucking faces here" Rocky randomly said.

Ross and I pull away chuckling. "Well I better go Laur. Bye" he smiled and kissed my cheek. "Bye Ross" I smiled and walked in my house.

I checked out the window and saw them walk to their house. I walked upstairs and changed to my pajamas. I laid on my bed and went to sleep.

Best night ever.
