Chapter 16 - The Love Tunnel

3 Days Before Prom

Ross' P.O.V.

So Laura and I are planning on going to the carnival today since we have nothing to do.

My siblings and Vanessa decided to come incase Maia or that Brad guy does something again.

"You guys ready?!" I yelled from downstairs.

"Here"

"Yep"

"Yeah"

"Yo"

I counted them and there was someone missing. "Rydel?! You done with those make up stuff?!"

"I'm coming I'm coming" she ran downstairs and we were ready to go.

We decided to meet up with the Maranos at the venue.

I spotted Laura and I put my arm around her. "Hey Laur" I pecked her lips.

"Well hello there blondie" she ruffled my hair. "Hey! Mom did my-" I realized what I was saying and I blushed.

"Aww is wittle wossy bwushing?" Rocky teased and everyone laughed.

"It's okay Ross. I find it cute that your mom does your hair" Laura kissed my cheek. I smiled at her.

"Now stop with the flirting and let's get carnival-ing!" Ell yelled. "That's not even a word Ell. But let's go with it" Rydel chuckled and kissed Ell's cheek.

We all went to the same rides because Riker wanted us to stick together incase any emergencies happens.

"Oooh lets go to the love tunnel!" Laura exclaimed. "Sure princess" I chuckled.

"I'm out of here" Rocky walked away. "Me too" Ryland followed Rocky. So it's just me, Laura, Rinessa and Rydellington.

We rode the boat thing and we entered the tunnel. "This is exciting!" Delly squealed.

We chuckled and the boat moved. There were different romantic things in the tunnel and we were amazed actually.

But at some point, the boat stopped. "Uh, what's going on?" Laura got a little nervous.

"Don't worry Laur. I'm here" I put my arm around her. "Riker, you should call the others to let them know we're stuck in here" he nodded.

3 minutes later

"Ugh, there's no signal in here" Riker said giving up. "So, how do we go out exactly?" Delly said while scooting near Ell.

"Oh you're not going out just yet" we heard someone say. But we couldn't see where he or she was.

"Who are you and where are you hiding?" I yelled. "Come on Rossy! How can you not recognize me?" that Aussie accent.

Maia.

"Maia? What do you want?!" I saw another boat appear right in front of us.

"Oh you know I want you bad Ross" she smirked. Laura held me tighter. "I'm never getting back together with you Maia and you know that" I furrowed my eyes.

"We'll see about that Ross" she evilly smirked. She put out a gun and pointed it at Laura.

We all gasped. Laura at the other hand, is crying right now. "Put the gun down Maia! Ross doesn't deserve to be with you! Especially when you're acting like this" Rydel yelled.

"Shut up you fat ass!" "Don't talk to her that way!" Ell yelled and was really angry right now.

"Whatever" Maia rolled her eyes. "Now back to Laura, say goodbye to your precious little boyfriend" she smirked.

"Ross whatever happens, I love you" Laura faced me and hugged me. "I love you too Laur" I nuzzled my head in the crook of her neck.

All of us were closing our eyes tightly and waiting for the gun to shoot. But after a few seconds, we heard yelling.

"Put the gun down and put your hands up!" someone yelled. Probably the cops. We all opened our eyes and saw a group of cops getting Maia.

"This isn't the end Marano" Maia glared at Laura.

"Are you alright kids?" one cop came to us and helped us out the boat. We all nodded. "Okay. That's good. You may go home now" then he walked away.

I looked over at Laura and she was still in tears. "Its okay Laur, we're safe now" I hugged her tightly.

"Ross?" Laura said softly but loud enough for me to hear. "Hm?" I looked down at her.

"Can I sleep with you tonight?" she looked up at me with dry tears on her cheeks. "Of course. Anything for you Laur" I hugged her again.

"I'm sleeping with the Lynches too Laur" Vanessa said. "Text mom please" "Already did. She said yes" Vanessa smiled.

We all walked to our house. We didn't need to get clothes for the Maranos because they left some clothes in our house since they hang a lot with us.

Laura and I were in my room cuddling. "You okay Laur?" no answer. I heard soft snores. I sighed. I kissed her head and stared at the ceiling.

Laura must be really tired. We'll just tell our family on what happened earlier. Because of thinking too much, I fell asleep.
