Their Compatibility :
Prologue :
"You two are poles apart, there is no way that this marriage is going to work! I bet it won't last a year!" Gafoor snorted as he sped through the night time traffic.
"I would agree with you on that one but betting is haraam. Besides, I don't even know how I got trapped into this marriage." Mikaeel spoke under his breath as he tried to straighten his suit coat.
The women sitting in the backseat rolled their eyes dramatically as they listened in on their brother's conversation with his 'good for nothing' best-friend.
"You can always break it off before it even begins you know, it saves alot of future heartache..." Gafoor went on as though Mikaeel never speak.
"The Jahannam he will break it off now! Do you think that Diya will be able to handle rejection on the day of her nikah? Do you think it's right if he breaks her heart and her belief in a moment of him being nervous? Gafoor, if you are intent on leading my brother astray, I think it would be better if you just didn't attend this marriage at all!" Yaseera bit out angrily.
"Ooh Miss Hot! Cool it! I'm sorry, I was just trying to help my best-friend over here, but I think I should remain silent now..." Gafoor didn't look apologetic when he smiled over his shoulder at the angry but beautiful woman glaring at him.
Mikaeel stared out of the window, his gaze narrowing as the passing lights flashed passed him. His mind was occupied with his life decisions and alterations...
It happened so quick, everything just came crashing on him when he vaguely agreed to an arranged marriage. It seemed like his mother had already carefully thought about what she was doing when she approached him... Because before he knew it, he was proposed, engaged and married and was now heading to his 'so called' wife's house.
Diya was someone he didn't know, though his sisters had changed that by telling him everything he needed to know. Apparently she was so down to earth that she would just fit into the family, she was so caring that he would just love her... Although, truth be spoken, he was feeling smothered by the description.
Yes, she was okay looking, not a supermodel or anything, but not so bad, he thought when he had seen her for the first time. She was shy on the day so they didn't get to talk much, but then again, he was trying to make a quick getaway so he left as soon as he could.
Never in a million years did he ever imagine himself being married because he didn't have a romantic bone in his body. Never did he ever look at a woman and think that 'hey maybe I can do the marriage thing'. But now as the car slowed down to a smooth halt, his nerves got the better of him because he was married now and there was no running away from it! Mikaeel never runs away from a commitment he makes, no matter what it was. He tried to calm himself down, letting his sisters' happy chatter fill his mind but looking at the house full of well dressed people made him want to be anywhere but where he was.
"This is it man! I think our time comes to an end and your time with your vrou begins! All the best!" with that said, Gafoor stepped out of the car, leaving Mikaeel to get himself in order before he had to step out of the car himself.
