"Z. No."
Kakashi was pleading with his wife not to lead a rescue mission to the Land of Tea, who had just been devastated by a massive earthquake.
"I'm recovered. I'm going."
She was one month postpartum. This past month had been full of joy, caring for Sakumaru, but now he would have to be the Hokage and care for his infant son while his bride was going to the Land of Tea. Kakashi knew this wasn't a fight that he was going to win. He sighed deeply.
"Fine. Make sure you have a strong team, though. You can't carry this mission solely on your own."
He was burping Sakumaru, sitting on their bed as his wife took inventory of her ninja tools and medical supplies.
"I'm planning on taking Ino, Sakura, and Hinata."
Kakashi took his head.
"Hinata's on extended leave since her wedding."
"I need a specialist who can detect victims under the rubble. Any Hyuugas' available?"
"No ma'am."
"Anyone beneficial to this rescue mission available?"
"Kiba. And Akamaru."
"The kid with the dog? Fine."
He felt Sakumaru let out a burp and looked over his shoulder to see if he was spit up on. He wasn't. The tiny baby was already fast asleep on his shoulder.
"I'm just hesitant, Z. You haven't been on a mission in over a year. And you haven't properly trained in as long. I don't want you to get in trouble out there."
Mizuka walked over and kissed him on the forehead.
"Please? I've been resting and I'll take it easy out there. I need this. Besides, I could never forgive myself if someone died becasue I wasn't there."
He looked at the sleeping baby again.
"Okay. Be back in seven days. Ino, Sakura, and Kiba will be your team. A day to get there and a day to get back. Five days should be enough time to render aid to the Land of Tea. I'm sure other nations have dispatched help as well."

Kakashi woke up the next morning to a crying Sakumaru and grimaced.
I have to be the Sixth Hokage and his full time caregiver this week, he thought. How in the fuck am I supposed to do that?
He got up and headed to the nursery, peering over the side of the crib at his crying son. Piking Sakumaru up, he realized that he was wet through his diaper and sleeper.
"Okay, buddy, we can do this."
He put the baby on the changing table and stripped his wet clothes off before wiping him down with baby wipes. He put a diaper and onesie on him. Sakumaru gave him a gummy laugh, which made his heart melt. They would make it through this week. Somehow.
