"Hey Kakashi Sensei."
Kakashi looked up to find Sakura in the doorway of the kitchen. She had a strange look on her face. He had barely seen her since the night they had spent together over a month ago.
"Hey, Sakura."
He motioned for her to have a seat. She approached him uncharacteristically shyly.
"I just came over to thank you for my birthday present. I know I'm really late in telling you that."
Kakashi studied her face, trying to figure out what was wrong..
"Is that all?"
She watched the table.
"No. I also came to tell you that I'm leaving in a couple of weeks. I'm going to join Sasuke on his atonement trip."
"Are you sure that's what you want?"
"Yes. At least, I think so. I hope you and Z aren't disappointed."
"As long as you're doing what you want to do, we'll always support you. You know that."
She looked as if she might cry.
"My parents aren't too happy about me leaving with Sasuke."
Kakashi took a sip of his tea.
"You're an adult. Don't worry about them."
He looked up from his cup to find her gazing at him. When she spoke, her words were quiet.
"I'm sorry I've been so distant; this is a really hard decision to come to. You gave me a lot to think about after our night together."
She blushed as she spoke, and he couldn't help but grin. He was feeling better about the situation after speaking to Mizuka more in depth about it. She was cute. She continued.
"I've been dreaming about our night together since it happened. You're really handsome and you made it really special."
She was now bright red. He reached over and took her hand. He thought he heard her make a tiny moaning sound as he reached for her.
"You don't need to thank me."
"I hope I didn't make things awkward between you and my sister-"
He chuckled.
"No, Z and I are stronger than that. It was a decision that we made together."
"I've been having explosive dreams of us, Sensei. Sometimes, I still wish that you were at the end of my red string. I would fucking blow your mind every night."
Now, Kakashi couldn't help but smile. It was a nice sentiment, but he wasn't interested. He was already having mind blowing sex with someone he was far more compatible with.
"So with Sasuke. You've loved him since you were both in the academy. See how it is and if it's not what you thought it would be, you can always come back to Konoha. Either way, you have our support, regardless."
Sakura's smile was huge; she jumped up and wrapped her arms around his shoulders, whispering in his ear.
"Thank you, Sensei."
He hugged her back warmly.
"I'll always protect you, Sakura."
