Kakashi climbed into the bed next to his wife, gently kissing her cheek.
"Huh? Oh... hey Love. Did you have fun with Guy?"
He was a little afraid to tell her what happened afterwards.
"Yeah, I did. We had a great time! And then... Kizashi came to talk to me."
He felt her body tighten up a little.
"What did he want?"
"He actually came to apologize. And to ask how you were. It appears that time has broken him down. He's an old man, and I agreed to talk with him and couldn't help but feel pity for him."
Mizuka sat up; Kakashi wasn't sure how she would react.
"I"m sorry, Z. I probably should've just told him to fuck off immediately-"
"No, no. You're the father of this village, you can't just tell a villager to fuck off."
Mizuka sighed.
"I'm tired of feeling angry at them. He honestly doesn't deserve my forgiveness, but I don't want to hold the hate inside anymore."
She put a hand over her tiny baby bump. Kakashi put his hand over hers.
"I also don't want to pass that kind of hatred onto my children."
"I support you, no matter what you decide to do about Kizashi and Mebuki. I told him that whatever you decide to do about your relationship, or lack of, is completely up to you. I have no say in your feelings whatsoever."
He kissed her cheek again, grinning.
"You know, I could still assassinate him. Discreetly. That would also neutralize the problem."
"Kakashi!"
She playfully pushed him in the chest.
"I'm just saying. I would even do it personally."
"Maybe I'll leave myself open to the possibility of someday speaking to them again. Maybe."
"Whatever you choose, he won't ever hurt you again. I'll make sure of it."
She leaned against him.
"Maybe it would be good for the boys to have their grandparents in their lives."
Kakashi rubbed her shoulders gently.
"He was crying, asking about them. I told him a little, and how great of a mother you are. I hope that was okay."
Mizuka looked up at him, grinning.
"We're a pretty great family; I know it's hard for you to keep your mouth shut about us."
Kakashi play wrestled her to the bed, making her squeal. He blew a wet raspberry on her bare chest, making her scream and try to push him away. She stuck her cold hands under his undershirt, making his gasp in surprise. Soon, their playfulness turned heavy as she began to strip his clothes off, kissing his bare chest.
"Always protect us, Kakashi. We need you."
"I really will kill anyone who hurts my family."
Suddenly, she let out a little gasp, holding her belly. Kakashi's heart dropped into his stomach as he backed away from her.
"Is everything okay? Did I hurt you two?"
A big smile spread across his bride's face.
"I felt a flutter! The first one!"
Kakashi felt his own heart flutter.
"Really?"
He laid her down on her back carefully, placing a hand under her belly button; they waited in complete stillness until the tiniest flutter from deep inside of her womb. His voice was barely a whisper.
"I felt it...."
He was suddenly overwhelmed with emotion, and he could tell that his wife felt it quell in him.
"Our baby..."
He kissed her belly tenderly, right in the spot where he felt the flutter of his unborn child. He closed his eyes.
"I love you so much already."
He felt Mizuka's hands run through his messy hair.
"Happy anniversary, Kakashi. You've just met your present for the first time...."
"I promise I'll make missing the first trimester up to you, Z."
She giggled, making her belly move.
"Oh please, I want this baby just as much as you do. We got along okay without you."
"I'm sure Ino was around a lot."
Mizuka's eyes lit up at the mention of her student's name.
"Oh yeah, you didn't hear."
"Didn't hear what?"
"She's more pregnant than I am right now."
"What the hell?"
Mizuka laughed.
"A post kidnapping celebratory fuck at the hot spring probably isn't a good idea when you've been off your birth control for three days. It's fine now, she's just returned from her honeymoon with Sai. Things are moving quickly for them, but they are so good for each other. They're going to be great parents."
Kakashi chuckled.
"They will be. But, tonight, I'm only worried about this baby. Baby Hatake."
He laid down next to her, kissing her neck before letting out a huge yawn.
"And the only person I'm worried about tonight is you, Lord Hokage. You have to get up early tomorrow, and you're drunk and still awake."
He nibbled at her neck playfully, whining in her ear.
"But I'm horny now."
She giggled.
"Get some sleep; it'll give you something to anticipate all day tomorrow."
He snuggled into her shoulder, playfully grumbling. He could feel his bride's heart beating in his ear and her slow breath as he fell asleep, a hand gently cradling their unborn child in its mother's womb.
