It was dark. Celeste could feel her heart pumping louder and louder as she was pushed down onto a soft cushion. She took a deep breath once the blindfold was ripped off her face. She opened her eyes and cane face to face with Raphael Costa. That sinister smirk again. She remembered it from before and hoped she'd never have to see it again; however, it seems as though she wasn't that lucky.
"Miss Celeste," he said.
"Costa," She snarled. Martina strolled in with a few of Costa's men behind her.
"Martina," he said as he turned to her.
"I kept up my end of the bargain. Now it's time you held up yours," Martina said as she crossed her arms.
"Right, about that," Raphael said before he grabbed his gun and pulled the trigger, striking right in the middle of Martina's fore head. Celeste covered her mouth and widened her eyes in shock as Martina's lifeless body fell to the floor. "Go empty the trash," he told his men. They nodded before picking up Martina's corpse and carrying her out the room.
"You j-just killed her," Celeste said.
"Of course. If she was able to betray the man she said she loved the most, why would I trust her not to double cross me? One a traitor always one," Raphael said as he wiped the gun with a cloth before he placed it back on the silver platter. The two sat in silence as Raphael watched her intensely. "So Celeste, it's Celeste, right?" He asked. She hesitantly nodded. "Why don't you tell me about yourself," he suggested.
"Why don't you just fucking let me go? Please," she said.
"I can see you're tense, but if I was you, I'd wouldn't speak to me like that again," he said. She gulped as she wished for Lorenzo to come to her aid and be by her side. She shut her mouth and refrained from saying something hat might upset him. "Where you from?" He asked.
"New York," she replied.
"You were raised there?" He asked.
"Yep. What about you? Where you from?" She asked.
"New York. Same as you," He said.
"Born and raised?" She asked.
"Born and raised," he responded.
"What part?" She asked.
"Brooklyn, you?" He asked.
"Foster kid. I've been everywhere," she said. The two remained silent as there was nothing to say. While in silence, Celeste reminisced on her time with Lorenzo. She feared that she wouldn't see him again, at least not alive. She quickly reminded herself that she had to have faith in him and hope that he would come to save her. So she did because she knew that same hope is the only thing that'd keep her mentally sane in a time such as this.
She looked over at Raphael, hesitant to ask him the question she's been doing to asked. Although, he had already caught onto this based on her body language.
