A Second Chance (Under Construction)

Chapter 11

After spending the night away in her dreams, she returned back late in the afternoon. As Celeste woke, her eyes fluttered open before being rubbed excessive as she stretched out her body as she squeezed her palms. She looked over at the time and noticed it was almost noon which meant it was lunch time. Before going down to eat, she decided to get ready first. She threw her bed sheets off her and stretched her arms out wide for the second time as she stood for the bed. She slowly walked into the bathroom while dragging her feet at the same time still gaining her energy for the day. As soon as she entered the bathroom, she closed the door behind her and removed her clothes before she went into the shower. After about twenty minutes of being soaked and scrubbed, she turned off the water and wrapped herself in her towel. She walked out of the bathroom and into the closet where she picked out her outfit for that day. She stayed in the closet to get changed rather than in her room. Once dressed, she walked out of the closet and immediately shrieked in surprise when she saw Luca sitting on her bed. She was confused and nervous to whom this random guy was in her mind. Luca looked up at her from his phone and sent her a sweet smile. 

"Hello," he said as he stood from the bed, proceeding to walk towards her which lead to her only taking steps back.

"Don't be scared, I won't bite. Who are you? I didn't know my brother had a girl here," he said. As soon as he was within an arms reach away from her, she quickly hit him in his Adam's apple and pushed him down to the ground. While trying to regain his breathing, she ran from the room in searched for Lorenzo. She looked around before making the decision to check his office. Lorenzo had on his glasses while he read through the contract a future business partner faxed him. After hearing the sound of running, Lorenzo looked up from the contract and watched Celeste while she quickly closed the door behind her.

"Yo, There's an intruder in the house," she said worrisome. He took of his glasses and stood from his seat. 

"Where?" He asked. 

"I left him in my room," she said. Before he could as another question, there was someone banging on the office door. 

"Get behind me," Lorenzo ordered as he slowly moved towards the door with his hand on his gun. She followed his order without hesitation and stood behind him. He placed his hand on the door handle and waited for a brief second before quickly opening the door and pointing it at the perpetrator. He scowled at his brother who put his hands up in defense. Lorenzo rolled his eyes and put the gun back in the waistband of his black slacks. 

"Luca," he said as he crossed his arms over his chest. Luca smiled at his brother as he slowly brought his hands back down.

"Wait, you know this dude?" She asked.

"Celeste, this is my brother...Luca," he said. Luca waved at her with a cheeky grin.

"What happened to you won't even notice I'm here," Lorenzo said.

"I just wanted to introduce myself to you're house guest," Luca said. Lorenzo shook his head and pushed past Luca before walking down to the house entrance. Luca and Celeste looked at each other confused before they followed him. Lorenzo grabbed his black trench coat and brought it around before putting it on. Once the doorbell rang, Lorenzo opened the door allowing Silvio to enter.

"Ready?" He asked. Lorenzo grabbed a pack of bullets and put it in his pocket with a nod.

"Where you going?" Celeste asked as she walked up to Lorenzo with Luca following behind.

"Why do you need to know?" Silvio asked harshly. Lorenzo slowly turned and glared at Silvio, unimpressed by his behaviour. Silvio got the message and left the house intimidated.
