A/N fun fact: I was in hospital the other day and I wrote most of this chapter while waiting to get my x-rays done 👌

Adora was at a loss for words. She tried to step forward, but a guard prevented her from doing so "catra..." she breathed in a quiet voice

It was then when Catra and Scorpia were apprehended by the Bright Moon guards and slowly escorted towards the castle. But when the feline passed Adora, she stopped moving and gave her a look that the blonde didn't quite understand before shaking her head and continuing forward

The princesses stood still for a moment, still trying to process what had just taken place. Adora was the first to frantically follow after them, in desperate need of some answers.

The rebellion soldier followed the group of guards to the throne room where queen Angella was seated at her chair with her usual cold glare on her face. The blonde watched as Catra and Scorpia were commanded by the guards to kneel before the queen, causing Adora to bitt her lip in anticipation

Angella sat up right before speaking "former soldiers of the horde" she addressed them "you are here because you surrender, correct?" She took a short pause, "although the rebellion has won and the Horde is no longer, your actions can not go unpunished" she got up from her throne and paced around the room for a short while

Adora shuffled from side to side, trying to get a better view of what was happening and it was then when the group finally caught up to her "Adora, do you know what's happening?" Asked Glimmer but Adora just shushed her in response

"Scorpia" she began once again "since the damage you alone caused wasn't anything severe, you will assist the civilians and others ex-horde soldiers in rebuilding the many damaged villages in Etheria"

Scorpia nodded her head "of course your majesty" she bowed before she was escorted away

"But as for you" said Angella in a much colder tone "not only have you inflicted pain and suffering on to many innocent people, as well as the princesses and Etheria itself, you were the one who led the attack on bright moon if I'm not mistaken" The queen was now standing in front of catra and she spoke with venom in her voice "I feel it is appropriate that you spend 6 months of isolation in our prisons. You'll have two meals a day and no contact with anyone... you're freedom will be taken from you"

Adora couldn't keep quiet for any longer "Angella you can't do this!" She stepped forward, causing everyone to look in her direction

"And why is that?" She enquired as she folded her arms

"Because it's just unfair... I mean. She was the one who defeated Hordak... don't you think you're being a little bit harsh?"

The queen pursed her lips while she contemplated Adora's words "very well..." she sighed "2 months and when you're released, you will be the one to lead reconstruction project. But if you misbehave... I will not hesitate to put you back in the cell. Do you understand?"

Catra raised her head so her nonchalant expression was made visible. She nodded and just like Scorpia, she was taken away, presumably to the prison cells

Adora was about to follow after however, Angella's voice stopped her "Adora..." she turned to face the queen "I don't want you visiting her cell for the time that she's in there"

Adora was taken aback by what she had said "B-But I need to go talk to her!"

"That is an order" she stated, sitting back down on her throne

"But I..." she couldn't think of a good enough argument so she hung her head in defeat and left the room, Bow and Glimmer following behind her
