Adora trudged through the woods, constantly picking out twigs and leaves from her hair as she dusted the mud off her cheeks

She was given the task of going back to the whispering woods as Bow had picked up yet another first ones tech signal, but the tracker pad she used was over ridden by something else it looked like a message but the words were too distorted for Adora too read and consequently, she got lost

Luckily, she stumbled upon the camp Catra and Scorpia had used giving her a place to sleep when night fell. The following day, she decided to try and head back as it would be no use looking for the tech

Adora reached the edge of the woods and Bright Moon came into sight however, as she walked she couldn't help but feel like she was forgetting something... something important

"Catra's being released today!" The blonde gasped before she dashed up to the castle in hopes to see her friend out of her cell

And just as she thought, she saw Catra in the throne room, bowing before the queen as she spoke to her

Angella must have seen the warrior as she called out "Enter, Adora" Adora did as said and stood behind Catra, shifting her weight from one leg to another while Angella spoke "Catra... do you pledge your loyalty to the rebellion?" She asked

"Yes, your majesty" She replied as the Queens gaze moved to the blonde

"Adora" she began "will you vouch for her...? Will you take responsibility for her and guide her from now on?"

Adora stepped forward slightly, and placed her hand on her chest "of course your majesty, I will"

"Very well" said the queen "you are hereby released. Your work on the project to rebuild Etheria will begin tomorrow as for now, enjoy your stay at bright moon" Angella smiled before adding, "And also, you'll be sharing a room with Adora. We feel it's best for her to monitor you at all times "

Catra was about to argue against it when the blonde gave her a look that said please-don't-argue-with-the-queen-we-can-discuss-it-outside so Catra decided to leave it for now

The two of them left the room in silence with Adora leading the way until she stopped in the hallway with her back facing the feline "is everything alright, Adora?"

The blonde turned to face her with a serious look which didn't last long as her lips quickly turned to a grin and she engulfed Catra into a tight hug

"Hey! Personal space" she tried to struggle against her but it was useless as she soon melted into the embrace and let out a small wimpier when Adora pulled back

"Sorry" she apologised still holding on to Catra's arms "I'm just really glad you're here right now and I get to hold you again"

Adora gave a genuine smile and Catra was going to say something snarky or make fun of her but instead, she smiled as well "Yeah, I'm glad you're here as well"

They both stood there for a little while longer, just looking into one another's eyes in a comfortable silence as Adora's thumbs traced invisible circles around Catra's upper arms

Glimmer broke their gaze with an abrupt cough "Adora I need to speak with you..." the blonde walked towards the princess with Catra following behind until Glimmer gave her a cold glare "Alone..."

Glimmer, Bow and Adora moved to one side of the corridor and began whispering to one another but thanks to Catra's amazing sense of hearing, she was able to listen in on their conversation
