Episode 12

He blinked.

Raising his head from the tarred road on which he lay.
He groaned almost immediately feeling an immense pain coursing through his head in sharp waves.
He lay his back down and shut his eyes tightly, trying to get used to the pain.
His blood that smelt faintly like metal cascaded down the side of his face where his attacker had hit..

One,two,three..
Kevin began to count silently and when he reached ten,he lifted himself as sharply as he could and rose onto his feet,staggering back immediately until his back met with the boot of his car.
He groaned again.
Blinking rapidly in a bid to adjust to the light suddenly blinding him.
Completely opening his eyes,he saw them.

Two men.
One was hefty and ridiculously tall while the other was almost just about as tall he himself.
Except Kevin was much bulkier while he looked slender.
He blinked again.
Virginia was slumped over the hefty looking man's shoulder.
She was limp.
Unconscious.

Kevin suddenly felt a tug at his chest at the sight.
He felt the air getting knock out of his lungs.
He gritted his teeth,clenching his fists do tightly his nails dug into his palm.

Who the f*ck were they?.
Why would they kidnap someone who'd spent barely two weeks in this country and knew close to nothing?.
He shook his head..
This was No time for occupying his brain with questions.
First things first.

Kevin watched as the shorter man opened the door of the van and slid into the driver's seat while the hefty man slid into the back with Virginia.

He watched the engine spark to life as the car maneuvered onto the main road.
Kevin quickly hid to prevent them from seeing him as they drove past him.
He had to do something..
He couldn't let them take Virginia away.
What if they hurt her?

No,he wouldn't be able to forgive himself if anything should happen to her.
Coming out of his hiding,Kevin noticed a blue car speeding towards him..
Taking a few steps forward, he began to wave both arms in the air.
Screaming
"Over here!! Help!"

As the car inched closer,he noticed it was a Lady behind the wheel..
A brunette. Yet he couldn't see her face.
That was the least of the his concerns right now..
He just needed her to give him a ride so he could go after the van which was still fairly in sight thanks to the long stretch of road.

"Hey! Over here!" He continued to yell,waving his arms as high as it could get,ignoring the throbbing pain in his head.

Kevin watched in astonishment as the lady outrightly ignored and drove past him.
"What the f*ck?!"

He run his fingers through his hair which was getting wet with the continuous blood flow.

He sighed.

What to do now?

He turned. His cell phone was also history now, completely useless as it at lay shattered on the ground due to the manner in which Virginia had dropped it..
He sighed in agitation.
He had to find her..
He had to follow them.
Know where they were taking her.
So he could arrive in time to protect her.

Damn it!
He clenched his fist.
If those bastards dare lay a finger on her,he'll surely have their heads.

Half a second later after the blue car had bypassed him,a biker appeared in his line of vision..
He turned.
He began to wave his arms wildly again and again until the curious biker stopped near him.
He regarded Kevin carefully before a grin stretched across his lips..

"Kevin? Kevin bloom? Oh my God.. You.." He paused as he noticed the blood trickling down the side of his face.

"You're bleeding.. Oh.."
"I need your bike. My fiancée has been abducted." Kevin cuts in quickly, reached into the pocket and pulled out his wallet containing several dollar notes.
He handed it to him.
